Media Events

National Media: I am pleased to announce that Avon has asked me to be a 3 Day Walk media representative! This means that I will be part of a group of 25 who will be available to the national media as spokespersons for the 3,500-4,000 walkers.

Avon chooses its Media Team from a cross section of the 3 Day participants, and I have been chosen to represent young survivors.

On "Day Zero" (the day before the walk begins), we will meet for our instructions and final assignments.

Then, over the course of the 60 mile walk, I will carry a beeper or cell phone so I can be contacted for interviews, comments, etc.

Survivors Circle: As a young survivor, Avon has also chosen me to join 6 others in the Survivors Circle. We will participate as representatives of all the walkers in the opening and closing ceremonies of the 3 Day, and we will start the walk in honor of those who have been lost to breast cancer.

It goes without saying that I am honored to be considered as a representative for breast cancer survivors. I am a little anxious, yet I am thrilled with the opportunity to reach so many and to prove that there is life after cancer.

05/09: I'm working on pictures, video, etc. for the web site. Check back soon!
