The Sunline on Lake Evermore

As the soft wind blew upon Lake Evermore,
ripples of glimmering waters broke gently on its shore.
The sun began to set after another day,
giving its beauty you with would forever stay.
As the sun rested upon the hill,
I perceived a vision with curious thrill.
A straight, narrow line of flickering wonder,
leading to the warm sun, so I began to ponder.
Thoughts of the life of a Christian must live,
the daily sacrifices and learning to give.
The road to Heaven may be narrow,
but Christ cares for you as He does the sparrow.
Deeper in thought as I pondered the view,
the end of this life begins one brilliant and new.
Peter walked on water, but began to sink,
as he doubted Christ and allowed his faith to blink.
Then Jesus pulled him to the surface again,
for we must have faith in Christ and forsake sight of men.
Jesus is there for when we stumble and fall,
He will pull us through and give us His all.
So this path of sunshine brought clear vision,
that its a timely road traveled by precision.
With the faith in God we will find the way,
although tiresome, Jesus will give hopes light from dismay.
Upon the lake the narrow path leads to the sun,
as the road to Christ give life from destruction.
Narrow also is the path which leads to God and His Son,
which is traveled by the life of sanctification.
Realizing from this sight, the eternity in store,
I will hold fast to my vision of the sunline on Lake Evermore.
