Awakening in the morning to live another day,
thank you God for your watch over me in so many ways.
Clear vision through my healthy eyes,
for my mistakes that have made me wise.
Ears able to hear the song of a bird,
and the mind to comprehend every spoken word.
Complete hands to use in so many ways,
two feet to travel the paths of my days.
Strong legs to run and even climb,
taste buds to cringe at a taste of lemon and lime.
Conversation to express a thought,
intellect to escape in a situation I'm caught.
A smile to lift the sad eyes of a child,
and laughter to make the day a little wild.
Five senses to make life more clear,
and strength and courage when I fear.
A strong heart to give life to this creation,
feelings of joy that's my cherished sensation.
Tears to clean my soul when feeling down,
and this peace and joy through you I've found.
Jesus, thank you for the protection of your wings,
