Living Legend

Once through the sands of time a perfect man walked this earth,
the little town of Bethlehem was his place of birth.
This man is not a gun slinger, rugged and wild,
He is meek and gentle, loving and mild.
This man did not fight his adversaries with sword and gun,
for He is special and rare, Gods only beloved Son.
He has awesome power to heal the sick and make the blind to see,
and those possessed by demons, He sets them free.
Proceeding from His lips comes the life and the way,
to bring redemption for those lost and astray.
Sent by God His Father from heaven above,
to die for the sins of all mankind, whom God dearly loves.
Just imagine His gentle eyes full of love and care,
as the glorious Son of God strokes your hair.
No man ever had so much compassion beyond compare, for the life He lived was far from unique and rare.
There was never any who could have walked in His shoes,
He was persecuted, spit upon, hated and abused.
Many despised this Christ a man of deity,
for He has the power to unlock death and give life for eternity.
He walked on water, He controlled wind, air and sea,
performing miracles of glory given abundantly.
He raised the dead from the grave,
for those lost and bound, He was there to save.
He fed five thousand from two fish and five loaves of bread,
He astonished thousands by the things He did and said.
Then one dreary day they crucified this precious man on a cross,
they did not know this was His purpose to pay sins cost.
They thought they brought this Son of God to His end,
but on the day of three He arose from the dead to bring life
to those that believe in His name, Jesus, the Living Legend.
