Lay
Fear to Rest
So
often we fret and worry,
what
tomorrow may behold.
A
wrestle to stay young,
though
time will bring the old.
I
find it best to live,
in
moments present now.
And
if trouble comes the morrow,
then
I’ll worry how.
For
the present is not so bad,
your
heart is beating still.
And
God is ever watching,
just
yonder on His hill.
Rest
in the peace He brings,
enjoy
every breath.
For
our spirits live forever,
beyond
all earthly death.
For
now hold His hand,
trust
His leading way.
For
God will not forsake you,
just
trust Him as you pray.
Cast
your burdens unto Him,
release
that wretched load.
And
don’t worry ‘bout tomorrow,
for
He’s already paved the road.
