Just To Be Like Thee

0' to be so pure

to love without condition.

To do good unto all,

of purposed daily mission.

To mourn with the grieved,

to rejoice with the glad.

Cloaked with His holiness,

and flee the worldly fad.

To resist the stench of sin,

to trail the scent of good.

Holding fast in the Spirit,

to live the way Christ would.

0' to be like Jesus,

the honor of vast degree.

Though not just live as Him,

yet to let Him live in roe.

To glorify God in the Highest,

to preach good tidings to men.

And when the day has ended,

to rise and shine, and live

like Jesus again]

"He that saith he abideth in Him ought himself also

so to walk, even as [Jesus] walked* (I John 1:6).

"I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live;

yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which

I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the

Son of God, who loved me, and gave Himself for roe"

(Galatians 2:20).
