Lord, give ear to my prayer.
Instill in me comfort that you are there.
My Father drench my mind with your will,
The hole in my heart you are beginning to fill.
Joy fills my heart because of your blessings,
To you I give all my troubles and sins confessing.
I will follow you Lord because I know you’re the way,
To get me through the most lonely and painful nights and days.
I praise you my Lord for heartache and sorrow,
Through this I have grasped greater hope for tomorrow.
I know Lord that you are with me,
And I pray Lord that your Spirit will lift me.
Life will never be without trials and tribulations,
And will never always be joyous sensations.
The Lord allows us to experience these times,
To learn wisdom, something difficult to define.
Precious Father show me your direction,
So I can make it my lifelong intention.v
Use me Lord for I await your call,
I want nothing more than to give you my all.
I lived my life too long for myself,
I want nothing to do with this world’s wealth.
Just joy in my life, is what I seek,
But don’t take away all the sorrow;
For that’s what made me spiritually complete.
