I know I must stand firm,
upon the solid rock,
no matter what may come
I will not leave the flock.
The great Shepherd's watching,
guiding with direction,
I will heed to His instruction,
fighting sins infection.
I know my victory dwells in Jesus,
for He is my forever friend,
by and by will I follow,
forever beyond the end.
I know I will spend forever,
in the light of God's own Son,
for when this journey's o'er
eternity has begun.
The great Shepherd loves me dearly,
for He abides in me,
when Heaven's door comes open,
His face I'll finally see.
I now know what to do,
to share this love I know,
to plant the seeds of Jesus,
stand back and watch them grow.
For He is the vine of life,
to which I am intertwined.
As to the bondage of this world,
I am far from those confined.
He has broken my chains
and transformed my mind,
now I see the light,
beyond the darkness of the blind.
I know I'll never leave,
from the direction of His Word,
and with all my heart I'll follow
the love of my Great Shepherd.
