Fatherland

"For this God is our God for ever and ever: He

will be our guide even unto death" (Psalm 48:14).

"Thou shalt guide me with Thy counsel, and after-

ward receive me to glory" (Psalm 73:24).

"Teach me to do Thy will; for Thou art my God:

Thy Spirit is good; lead me into the land of upright-

ness" (Psalm 143:10).

Just to closely stay,

with Thee along the way.

Walking hand in hand,

to reach the Fatherland.

Though the desert be dry,

and my soul so off may cry,

hold me near to Thee,

and bestow serenity.

From Thy fountain I will drink,

and in Thy love deeper sink.

Nether Thy shadow, peaceful stand,

en route to the Fatherland.

Inverted more each day,

in the image of Thine array.

Let Thy will, Lord, be done,

as I humbly live Thy son.

Hence help roe n'er complain,

and grant Thy mercy's rain.

Holding strong to my hand,

guiding to the Fatherland.
