Exhortation (should follow Got Fruit Poem)

I encourage you to examine yourselves if you have spiritual fruit in your lives, wether you are walking in the spirit of God or if your walking in the world. Jesus alone is the source of a fruitful, abundant spiritual life. A branch will wither and die without the life of the vine, so in producing genuine Christian character and a fruitful life, we must abide with the vine which is Christ. In John 15:4-6 Jesus says this, "Abide in me, and I in you. As a branch CANNOT bear fruit of itself, EXCEPT it abide in the vine; NO MORE CAN YE, EXCEPT ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth MUCH FRUIT: for WITHOUT ME ye can do NOTHING. If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned." Believe in these words of Christ, until we realize we are nothing without Jesus, we will remain fruitless. Yes, some can put on a very fine imitation of fruit, but they are life fake fruit in a basket. It looks good but does not satisfy real hunger. Real fruit comes through knowing Christ and ultimately abiding in Him. We cannot just simply live an abundant Christian life, Christ must live it through us, Jesus is the vine the fruit producer, we are the branches who bear the fruit. Trying cannot produce fruit, but trusting in Christ produces fruit in us. The true character of a spiritual life is what it displays day by day. This falls to sanctification. We should be set aside from a worldly lifestyle and portray our Christian character in our walk with Christ on a daily basis. In Galations 2:20 Paul says, "I am crucified with Christ: NEVERTHELESS I live; yet NOT I, but Christ liveth in me." The KEY to producing spiritual fruit is our devoted walk with Christ, then we bear fruit, and God is glorified. Amen?

Praise the Lord Church! Be a fruitful tree my brothers and sisters, bear fruit in your lives by loving the Lord with all your heart, seek the Lord with all your heart, worship the Lord with all your heart and just watch the fruits of the Spirit overflow in your life because you've filled all your heart with the Lord. God bless you all!!
