Chasing Shadows of Snow

Sometimes I feel in pursuit of Thee,

that I'm chasing shadows of snow.

For just the moment I find Thee near,

Thy gleam seems to fade from it's glow.

Like the tossing waves of the sea,

as the winds which curious blow.

I ask, I seek, I find,

only to chase shadows of snow.

Though I find a sweetness of pleasure,

in the hunt of Thy face to and fro.

A grand mystery worth trailing,

on a quest chasing shadows of snow.

May it be I am a skip-tracer,

I hold no doubt, one day, I'll know,

that soon Thy Spirit shall settle,

melting upon me, pure as the snow.

"Hast  thou  entered  into  the  treasures of

the snow"  (Job 38:22a)?

"For  as  the  rain cometh down, and the snow

from  heaven,  and  returneth  not  thither,  but

watereth  the  earth,  and  maketh it bring forth

and  bud,  that  it  may  give seed to the sower,

and  bread  to  the  eater;   So shall my Word be

that  goeth  forth  out of my mouth: it shall not

return  unto  me  void,  but  it shall accomplish

that  which  I  please,  and  it shall prosper in

the thing whereto I sent it"  (Isaiah 55:10-11).

"And  ye  shall  seek  Me, and find Me, when

ye  shall  search  for  Me  with  all your heart"

(Jeremiah 29:13).
