Time a precious commodity of the present,
when you look back you wonder where it's went.
Days turn into years and years into decades,
the longer you live the quicker time fades.
One may die suddenly and their gone forever,
and the many times you could have expressed love, it turned to never.
Never knowing when ones existence will come to end,
maybe your father, mother, husband, wife or friend.
Cherish every waking moment as if you might never again,
be able to tell your loved one, I love you, before their end.
Children, precious children, they don't last long,
before you know it, they're mature, tall and strong.
The time with them blows by like the wind of a storm,
make their memories of you fond, not ragged and torn.
Acknowledge the Creator of this world, night and day,
for He's given you life to live and light for your way.
Share a smile, give a hug, shed a tear,
to let others know you care and for them your here.
Cling to the real riches of this life,
love your God, your father, your mother, your children, your brother,
your sister, your husband and your wife.
Give love like a river of water never ending,
and seek love for your wounded heart which needs mending.
Don't let one second go by before it's too late,
live for joy and love, not sorrow and hate.
Hold fast to the moment when you can lend a hand,
and help others that have fallen to take a stand.
Neglection is vital, its price is too high to pay,
priceless is your every breath, open your heart, seize the day!
