BOYS |
Spirit t-shirts or sweatshirts may replace the white shirt/blouse and tie ON SPIRIT DAYS ONLY. No other sweatshirt regardless of color may be worn at any time in the school. Undershirts may not be colored or have any writing on them that may show through the shirt. Colored or decorated underwear may not be worn by girls in grades 6-8. Polo shirts can be worn any day except Friday and on field trips. Shorts can be worn until Oct. 1 and from Apr. 1 to close of school year. Shorts must be purchased only from the designated supplier to insure uniformity of style and length.
Tennis shoes are recommended; for safety reasons sandal or shoes with openings, 'jellies', cowboy boots or shoes with cleats or heels over 1 inch are not permitted. UNIFORM PANTS AND SHIRTS ARE TO BE THE CORRECT SIZE FOR THE STUDENT; BAGGY, LOW-HANGING PANTS AND OVERLY-BLOSED SHIRTS ARE UNACCEPTABLE. Hair,Jewelry, Makeup To be 'uniform' in the look presented by the school students, faddish haircuts such as skater's cuts, or partial shaving of the hair are not permitted. Boys' hair should not extend below the top of the shirt collar and no hair should be hanging in a child's eyes. No-one's hair shall not be colored in any manner. Jewelry other than religious medals and school-awarded pin is not allowed. Some exceptions are mad for holiday jewelry. Girls may wear earrings but they must be the stud-type only. For safety reasons, no hoops or dangling earrings are permitted and students will be asked to remove them if they are worn to school. No boys are allowed earrings. No one is permitted to wear makeup but nails may be polished provided there is nothing distasteful or extreme. The school reserves the right to make amendments to this policy in the event of new fads. |
