Lilly was leaning on the table waiting when Justin walked up to her.
"Ummm….would you happen to know why Chris has been giving me all those….evil looks?" He asked looking between her and the floor.
Her eyes got wide while her was looking at the ground. Then she moved her eyes to the cabinets behind him to avoid eye contact.
"Ummmm, no I don't know anything about that." He put his hand on the side of her face and pulled her face around to meet his eyes.
"That's good."
Chris cracked the door open just enough to see and hear what was going on.
"Cause I was hoping it wouldn't keep you from accepting a date invitation for tonight."
She was silent for a few moments.
"M-M-Me?"
Justin released a small laugh.
"Well, you are the only one in the room dear."
She laughed and looked into his eyes.
"Yes….ummm….yeah. Tonight….OK" He could tell she was in shock right now. He laughed again and pulled her face up to meet his and his lips gently touched hers.
Justin pulled back and licked his lips, then leaned back in and kissed her again, but this time deeper and more passionately. All Lilly could feel were chills running up and down her back, and this new, amazing feeling raging inside her.
Just then Chris slowly started opening the door, and Justin and Lilly jumped apart at the sound of it.
"Oh. Hey guys. What's up?" Chris asked walking over to get a Pepsi out of the refrigerator.
"Oh…..ummm…..nothing. Nothing at all. Justin said nervously.
"You ready to leave?" Chris asked.
"Yeah, im ready. Lilly's just gonna hang out here till we get back."
"All right….Justin, why don't you go see if the other guys are ready to go."
"OK" Was all he said before he left the room.
Chris and Lilly were in an uncomfortable silence, until Chris finally spoke up.
"Lilly, do you remember what I told you about Justin earlier?"
"Ummm, actually, you didn't really tell me anything. Just something you didn't really explain." She said softly.
"OK, well, I don't want him to hurt you. And I don't want to hurt you by telling you this, but you need to know." He paused and handed her a Pepsi. "Every new city we go to ,Justin always seems to find a new girlfriend that only lasts the time were there. Then he never sees or speaks to them again once we leave."
He paused and looked at her. She pulled out a chair and sat down, unable to believe what she was hearing.
"Don't get me wrong honey, he's a great guy, he really is. But as a boyfriend….." He paused again. "And I know none of the other guys do, we all care about you like you were our little sister."
Just then JC, Justin, Joey and Lance walked into the kitchen. Justin and Chris made very easy eye contact, which then switched to Justin and Lilly.
"What were you guys talking about?" Lance asked walking past Chris towards the fridge.
"Oh nothing much, just waiting for you guys to get ready." Justin glanced back at Lilly after making sure Chris wasn't looking and winked at her then smiled. She smiled back then looked over at Chris, thinking about the conversation they had just had, and the kiss her and Justin had just had.
"All right, well, we got to go." JC said.
They all went into the living room, and the guys were getting ready to leave.
"Bye honey." Chris said hugging Lilly
"Bye Chris." Lilly said hugging him back. Then all the other guys gave her a hug before going out the door into JC's jeep. First JC, then Joey, Lance, and finally, Justin.
"Don't forget about our date tonight." He whispered in her ear.
"I wont." She said back.
Justin could feel Chris watching them, so he pulled away from Lilly and went to join the guys in the jeep.
