Justin sat down on the bed and listened to Lilly cry for a few minutes. It broke his heart to hear her cry, but it hurt even worse for him to not know what to do to help her. He didn't know if he should knock on the door, or just leave her alone for now. Soon the crying stopped and Lilly called through the door.
"Justin? Are you out there?"
"Yeah Lilly, im here. Do you need anything?"
"No. I'll be out in a minute."
Justin sighed and Lilly opened the door and walked over to him.
"Did you get my clothes?"
"Yeah, ummm how about this for today?"
"All right." She said taking the clothes.
"I'll leave and let you get dressed." He said getting up.
She watched him leave the room and he eyes filled with tears again. She got dressed and called through the door to Justin.
"Justin, can you find Chris for me?"
His heart skipped a beat when she wanted to see Chris and not him. But he could hear the tears in her voice.
"Yeah. Just a sec."
She took a deep breath and closed her eyes.
'He spilled his emotions to you, so you can spill yours to him. He can give you some strength.' She said to herself.
"Lilly?" She heard Chris' voice through the door.
"Yeah, c'mon in Chris."
She could see Justin in the hall when Chris came through the door. When the door closed, Lilly's eyes met Chris'. She almost immediately broke down, but was able to keep the tears from falling.
Chris noticed the tears in her eyes and gave her a hug.
"What's wrong honey?" He whispered in her ear.
All she did in response was begin crying on his shoulder .
"Did Justin do something to hurt you?"
He asked pulling back and looking her in the eyes.
"No.....Justin didn't do anything....It's just that...I...." Her voice trailed off and she closed her eyes.
*~* Flashback ~*~
"No....Please...Baby don't. Please!" A woman cried.
"Please Tony, Lilly is asleep."
"I'm hungry! I have been working all day, the least you can do is have dinner ready when I get home!" The man's voice boomed.
"Teresa, you're worthless. Your just a lazy worthless slut." He yelled.
Teresa was huddled against the wall crying when Tony slapped her. He began beating her and slamming her head against the wall.
Lilly stood in the doorway, listening to her father's drunken rage and screaming. Her mother's head being slammed into the wall and the cries of pain until there was nothing but her father's heavy breathing.
"Mommy." She whispered.
She ran to her room crying and fell asleep huddled in the corner of the closet with a blanket wrapped around her.
When she awoke the next morning, her father was gone. Her mother was still lieing on the kitchen floor. She left the house and never returned.

"Lilly? Are you allright?"
Chris asked wiping the tears off her face. Lilly wrapped her arms around Chris' neck and began crying. He rubbed her back and made her sit down on the bed.
"C'mon Lilly, you can talk to me if something's bothering you. I will always be there for you."
She nodded her head and took a deep breath.
"OK. When I was 10 years old........."
The next hour was spent telling Chris about her whole life. He was there for her to cry on his shoulder, and he helped her finally talk about something that was really bugging her.
Justin spent the next hour sitting against the wall and pacing up and down the hallway. The sound of Lilly crying, and him not able to do anything for her broke his heart.
'Lilly what is happening to me? Why do I feel this way about you? And do you feel like this about me?'
