Contact: bwilkins@mail.gov.nf.ca Robert Wilkins, was from the southern part of England, arrived in Nfld. around 1850 with his brother, whom we are trying to trace. Robert's brother may have returned to England or travelled to the United States. According to our Family Tree the name Wilkins was also pronounced as Elkins. The reason I indicated that Robert's brother may have travelled to the UNITED STATES because one night when I was watching a game show on TV called The Family Feud the family that was taking part in the show was the Wilkins Family, I am not sure but I believed they came from Virginia, U.S. Robert Wilkins died at the age of 42 by drowning.
