
MD and the Beast
Both highly-intelligent and driven, it was logical that Cecilia Reyes
and Henry McCoy would feel some sort of kinship. Despite his
relationship with Tish Tilby, their encounters were marked by
underlying attraction, as they verbally sparred with each other.
Although both of them appeared unaware of the changing nature of
their relationship, it was evident to the rest of the team. (Marrow
noted the fact in X-Men #75 - 'well, well . . . does the beast fall for a
beauty?') Beast asked Cecilia on a date to the opera, but
their relationship has not matured beyond there due to the
'shattering' of the team.
Indeed, it seems unlikely that they will be getting together, as Beast is now pretending to be gay to create controversy. (Let's just say I don't like Morrison.)
A Maggott in the Big Apple?

Although Maggott is an incorrigible flirt, his loyalties wavering between the X-Women, we need to note for the
sake of completeness that he has shown an interest in Cecila. He's exchanged banter with her in the past,
commented on how attractive she is as well as unsuccessfully tried his best pick-up lines on her
Things that Crawl in the Night
There were rumours that said Nightcrawler and Cecilia would be the next
couple in the X-Books. He advised her about her powers in X-Men #101, and, despite becoming a priest,
seemed interested in her. Obviously, however, nothing came of it, as one of Nightcrawler's old flames returned and she occupied all his attention. Even she, however, was set aside when it compromised his religious vows.
