4-H is a club for boys and girls ages 8-18. It is open to all children regardless of age, sex, race, religion or national origin. It is something that the whole family can do together. 4-H is family building!

4-H Pledge, Motto & Slogan

"I pledge my head to clearer thinking, my heart to greater loyalty, my hands to larger service, and my health to better living for my club, my community, my country and my world."

"To make the best better"

"Learn by doing"

Things You Can Do in 4-H

Have fun! Make new friends. Learn leadership skills by being an officer in your club, running meetings and being in charge of committee to get things done. Attend camps and participate in fairs and contests. Learn how to do things like: crafts, photography, animal care, bicycle safety, collecting leaves, insects or fossils, cooking and other fun things. Teens can be Junior Leaders teaching younger 4-Her's and holding counselor positions at camp. Teens can also attend special leadership camps such as Southern Maryland Teen Weekend and Teen Focus and meet with other 4-H teens around the State.
