-xSocial Responsibility Committee xWe affirm the inherent worth and dignity of every person, with justice, equity and compassion in human relations. x-Purpose xTo assess the social and environmental needs of Harford County and its surrounding areas and to determine in what capacity the our society can be of service. xTo apprise our society members of these needs and encourage their support. xTo discuss current local, national and international issues of human concern, inform the membership of these issues and offer means of taking action. xAdvocacy and Support xAdvocacy xWe engage in local efforts to promote diversity and racial justice. xWe keep the congregation informed on issues of human concern and encourage action on the issues which matter to them and provide them a reference guide on their elected representatives and how to contact them. xSupport xHarford County Food Bank - The congregation supports the Harford County Food Bank with regular donations of food and children's books. xCircle of Hope - The congregation donates to the "Circle of Hope" fund which provides emergency assistance to families as the need arises working through Harford County "Neighbors in Need " program.
