Bustopher Jones

About the Character-
Bustopher Jones is the ‘Cat About Town!’ He is rich, fashionable, and well-liked amongst the Jellicles. He’s also remarkably fat, due to his dining excursions! When Bustopher visits the Junkyard, all the Jellicles gather around and greet him as if he were royalty! Because of their similarities and fondness for one another, Bustopher is probably Mr. Mistoffelees’ uncle. Jennyanydots also has a bit of a crush on Bustopher. In the Video, he gives her a flower at the end of the song. However, at live performances, Bustopher usually gives the flower to an audience member. Bustopher’s fur is black and white, and he wears a long tuxedo jacket. In the Video and some productions, Bustopher carries around a spoon, which only further shows his love of eating! He is of average height, with a medium build, and very fat! Bustopher’s age is probably the equivalent of 40 to 60 human years, as it is not clearly defined.

The actor who plays Bustopher must be very skilled in acting and singing---he plays several different parts! This actor usually plays Gus and Growltiger, as well as Bustopher.
