Tantomile

About the Character-
Tantomile is the female of the Tribe’s set of ‘mystical twins.’ Her name means ‘Witch’s Cat,’ which accounts for her strange and magical abilities. She and her brother, Coricopat, seem to always know when trouble is lurking nearby. She is not included in the U.S. Touring Production. In some productions, such as the Original Broadway Production, Tantomile was given quite a few solos, including the verse of ‘Memory’ in ‘Moments of Happiness’ (Sung by Jemima in the Video). Over time, her part has diminished, but she still has a number of small solos. Tantomile apparently has no relatives, except her twin brother. She is often seen around Mistoffelees. In some productions, and in the Video, Tantomile wears a silver and black-dotted outfit. In most other Productions, she wears a brown and black outfit. She is of average height, with a slight to medium build. Tantomile’s age is probably the equivalent of 18-25 human years, though her age is undefined.

About the Actor-
The actress who plays Tantomile must have a strong voice and experience working with a partner. It takes talent to stay in unison with the actor playing Coricopat! Sometimes she is seen near the front of the dance sequences, so a strong dance background is recommended.
