Life and Love
Life can be hard.
Life can be tough.
Love can be silent.
Love can be rough.
I thought I was doomed.
I thought life was gone.
Then love showed up and turned my life on.
I thought it was over, there was nothing left.
I'd given up on love, it was all I had left.
I made out my will.
I'd signed my last sheet, confused by love I fell from my feet.
On hands and knees I gave out a cry.
My heart started to slow, as I began to die.
My sight hazed.
I was in a daze.
Then love crept in and left me amazed.
I opened my eyes and started to breath.
She gave me her hand and I rose from my knees.
She looked in my eyes and all I could see,
was a glorious future for I and she.
She knew how I felt.
She knew when to come.
She knew where I was,
and that I was alone.
She held me close,
I caressed her as much.
I t all began with a simple touch.
I proposed to her to be my wife.
She said yes and gave me life.
I rambled on about life and love.
She kissed me softly and I was truly in love.
We danced through the night never coming apart.
The music came straight from the love in our hearts.
