A Pentacle in My Pocket

A Pentacle in My Pocket Not long ago a christian gave me a buisness-size card with a poem and a small metal cross. This person did not know I am pagan, but even if she did I would not have taken offense, after all it was a gesture of love and kindness. Actually, the idea she had wasn't a bad one and was easily adapted into something that would suit pagans. I took the poem and changed it to the one that follows. I hope you enjoy it.

A Pentacle in My Pocket

I carry a pentacle in my pocket
A simple reminder to me
Of the fact that I am a Pagan
No matter where I may be

This little magic pentacle
One of my good luck charms
A symbol that I can manifest anything
As long as none it harms

It's not for identification
For all the world to see
It's simply an understanding
Between my Deity and me

When I put my hand in my pocket
To bring out a coin or key
The Pentacle is there to remind me
Of the Magick all around me

It reminds me too, to be thankful
For my blessings day by day
And to strive to live life better
In all that I do and say

It's also a daily reminder
Of the peace and comfort I share
With all who know of Magick
And conduct themselves with care

So, I carry a pentacle in my pocket
Reminding no one but me
That Magick brightens my life
And so mote it Be!
