...Aerosmith...

Joey Kramer brought the name and Steven Tyler slammed on the attitude. "America's Hometown Band," the quintet hails from Boston, Mass. They came together in the '70s, all veterans of failed bands, Steven the most musically experienced one among them, and started playing at the Quad on the University of Boston campus. They were a bar band, a high school prom band, and very poor band. All they got was a tiny apartment on Commonwealth Street. It was in this apartment where such hits as Dream On and Mama Kin were written. It was there that five small town losers with scattered scraps of talent came together to form a musical movement as shaking, violent, and sometimes crude as a California earthquake; a type of music that no one was playing, taken from the best corners of soul, blues, pop, and gold ole American Rust Belt Rock-N-Roll!
