Call For Vote
Dear Beifang Jiaoda Alumni fellows,
As you see from our updated alumni list that I sent out last week, we have more than twenty alumni members in this
area. Our Beifang Jiaoda alumni is also the member of the Jiaoda Alumni Association, including Beifang Jiaoda, Shanghai
Jiaoda, Xian Jiaoda, Xinan Jiaoda, and Taiwan Xinzhu Jiaoda. The Meizhusai that was held last summer was the
competition between the Jiaoda Alumni Association and Qinghua University.
At the end of last year, the group that our Beifang Jiaoda is in, has been selected as the executives-elect for chairing the
board of CSCUAA ("Da lu da zhuan xiao you hui") in 1999. So what? There are a lot of meetings and activities, as you
may see from the local Chinese papers. Since we have more members than 2 years ago and more activities that we need to
involve with the two associates (Jiaoda Alumni Association and CSCUAA), I think it's necessary for us to elect the
leader who can represent Beifang Jiaoda Alumni.
I have been in this position (I call it "Coordinator") for more than two years and I have coordinated some get-together
parties. I enjoyed them. However, this is the time for change or re-election. As we will be involving more activities, I
think we need more than just one person to organize our Alumni association and coordinate with the big groups. One
president and a couple of vice presidents or whatever the title you like to call them (other schools give some big name for
this).
Would anyone like to volunteer this position? I would appreciate any suggestions or comments, and the response from
you.
