It has been months since the very first outburst of SARS in Mainland China and it still goes wildly. Needless to say that many of us still have loved ones back home. As many of us have already known NJTU is the one University that got hit the hardest. It is so sad.
Many warm-hearted alumni all over US expressed the conern and want to make donation to our mother school. D.C. NJTU AA set out to make a joined effort with NJTU alumni in the west coast to make donation directly to NJTU. Here are the details.
Since it is an one time effort, it might be little complicated to set up an independent fund/account for it. I'll take the responsibility of getting money from all of you and send a lump sum check out. Your names and donation amount will be published here at times to keep the track. Please write up a check payable to me, no later than May 15th, and mail it to my home address.

After spoke with Ning Bing, the VP of NJTU in Beijing, we found out that money is not that of an issue right now. They need stuff more. NJTU folks in West Coast are working with China Air to send donation stuff, such as mask and drugs, directly back to NJTU and other places now. They welcome us to join and we decided to go for it. After donation is collected, I will issue the check under the name of D.C. NJTU AA to them and they can handle the rest for us.
Please pass words around to your friends or anyone else might like to make the contribution for NJTU. The more donation we can get, the better.
