The Witches Three Yule Tree
To celebrate this Yuletide season, our fearless leader, Sarah SwampWitch, asked us to submit a description of our favorite ornament. These ornaments will decorate the virtual tree.
The following are what we have gathered so far.
Beth
My donation to the tree is the pentacle I wear around
my neck. It is simple and direct like me. It is a
simple silver pentacle with a moonstone in the center
that was given to me as a birthday/summer solstice
gift by a very dear friend last year with a spell of
protection on it. As it means much to me , I share it
with all of you as well as the protecting energy it
carries. I realize I'm one of those "lurkers" around
here, but you've all come to be something special to
me. Thank you. May you all find light, love, and
happiness....
Okay, enough of the sappy stuff. Wishing you all
parties incredible enough to be worth the hangover
afterwards....

My vitual ornament is a garland of multicolored glass beads that has been in
my family for 3 generations. Its long enough to spiral around the whole tree
and looks beautiful with the lights shining off of it.

Hello all... I thought that I should post my own little ornament so as not
to anger anyone... *l* hmmmm... well I would like to get a BIG glass
ball... on it I would paint a picture of my beautiful niece. This is her
first Christmas... and she is a gift in and of herself. I would hang it
from the triple Goddess sign so that She would know how much I have
appreciated Her lessons on the glorious feminine aspect of all in all of Her
stages... well... I guess that's it... In Love and Light...

My ornament is a snowflake. Double sided and made of
mirrors. Each mirror represents one of us. It
signifies that each of us are unique and wonderful in
our own ways, and yet joined together make something
beautiful. The mirrors only reflect true site...so
when you look at the snowflake you see yourself not
with just your eyes, but through the eyes of each of
us
so that you may see how wonderful, beautiful and
special you really are.

My ornament is a copy of one of those Renaissance depictions of the moon,
with long flowing hair and a beatific smile, done in silver, with a red
ribbon to tie it to the tree.
Catsmeow
This is my decoration to put on the Yule tree.. the operative
word here is the vitual tree.. so I am taking a few liberties
with my ornament.
An oval shape, faceted into about a hundred surfaces..
each of them sometimes show a mirror,
sometimes seem like a small pool of water,
soft blue green and shimmering.
Sometimes the darkest parts of space
that you always thought would be black
but are really a color you have no name for.
But the truely wonderous thing about this ornament
is it's magical power.
For the final thing it's facets will do is to show anyone
who looks into it's depths the wonderful things that
their friends see in them.
So anyone who looks with an open heart and an open mind will
come away changed,aware and happier.
So look deep my friends, and know how each of your councils
and punchlines are appreciated. May the change and growth
of the new year bring you enlightenment and joy.

My ornament is... a black glittery (from the lipstick) cigarette butt dangling
with a thin wire from a crystal LOL how creative can one get, eh?
Jen/gizzis
Well I can't share this one with my kids but it's truly how I feel right
about now, considering I still haven't done ANY preparations!
Anyway here it is.... A beautifully decorated tree... (kinda like Sue's
tree) but with a big X threw it, like a No Smoking sign!
Yup that about sum's it up for me this year *L* I used to really enjoy this
time of year...then my kids started asking for clothes and toys that are
priced higher than a whole weeks pay. So there you have it.
Hyssop
My ornament is a big crystal ball.

Since I was a child, there has been one ornament which I have always loved.
No matter what tree we had, no matter where we were, it was one of the
things that had to be put up. Even the year we had the beer-ring tree *g*
It is one of a set, my parents have half of it now, I have the other half.
I don't know if you've ever seen them. They are little irridecent balls,
about an inch in diameter. We call them soap bubbles.
I used to make a wish on each one as I put them on the tree, but I'd have to
be careful because they are very fragile.
So, here is my "soap bubble" and my wish for this year: May all of you
receive the joy and love you need and deserve for the rest of your lives.
Ravenfire
OK, my ornament is a little fluffy but it is one of
the cutest things. It is a kitten on a sled flying
down a hill. He looks like he is having so much fun
and he has those Presious Moments tear drop eyes. Awwwww.
Jenn
I'm putting a lot of thought into this. What shows
basically who I am, or who I aspire to be. What
things mean a lot to me. What might I dream for the
future. So here we go:
My ornament is one of the larger bulbs with a scene
painted on it. It shows a vegatable garden being
tended by three people. Surrounding the garden are
wildflowers. These people represent my two girls and
myself. It symbolizes that we work together to bring
each other the "food" we need most: love, happiness,
trust that we together can do anything. The
wildflowers symbolize life's unknowns, for even though
we may see some flowers, others are unknown and show
us the surprises that life often spring on us.

Okay so here is my virtual ornament. Its the first ornament i ever recieved
ffrom one of my children.Mikey gave it to me when he was 4 years old.Wow
that was half his life ago. Thanks Swampy now i feel old.Anyways its made
from thin sheets of sponge like material. It starts with a big green piece
cut into the shape of a tree, then pasted on to it is a picture of him. Then
pasted on top of the picture is a yellow ring of that spongy stuff making it
look like the picture of him is an ornament hanging on the tree. In black
marker is the date.
DreamDancer
My lil ornament is a simple thing, one I share with my youngest. Just a
little Pooh Bear, wearing his santa hat.
ShadoeRose
Well, hopefully this will go through the way I
intended it to...something simplistic like me.....

I would pick to put up my ornament that I have at home. It is a little
cermic stocking, covered with a semi-real stocking that says "Baby's first
Christmas 1979" it has a Jester kinda toy sticking out of it. I can not
remember much more about it, Ihave not seen it for a few years.
Cassie
My ornament is a Grinch (the green kind, with pointy feet,
not the kind Sarah is married to). He's always been one of
my favorite parts of Yule -- I love watching the Grinch
special. I even have it on video.
Jena
Ok, here's mine, and keep in mind I'm no Piccasso (or even as good as a 5
year old with fingerpaints for that matter!).

Ok, can you guess what it is suppossed to be? LOL
Snowman...sorta..hehhehehe...told ya I wasn't a very good artist! :P
Rosie
my ornament is an angel/fairy like the one that keeps me safe and happy, who
looks after children all over the world.
i think i chose this because whenever i cry or am angry or upset, i always
feel someone wrapping their arms around me and i calm down. people always
say their is someone watching over me, but i think my angel/fairy would have
to be male, in silver velvet trousers and a soft furry type top because i
feel snuggled and content for about 5 - 10 minutes after. i never told
anyone about this before because i think they would laugh. this angel is
called jean (pronounced jon) and he left earth back in 1997, and i had to
take the day off school because i was so upset, even my mum had to let me.
ever since whenever i've needed help or love, when i've been alone in the
world (from running away or not having a home or whatever) he's been there
for me. i think everyone has someone or something that looks after them, be
it a Goddess, or a loved one. even if that person is still on earth.
Mansurin Shadowwolf
My ornament for our yule tree is a heart surrounding a valknot to
represent my dedication to Odin and Freya and my thankfulness to them for for
their help and all of they have given me throughout the year.
Ravensara
Ok,
At the risk of sounding mushy or sentimental I will hang up my babies (
both of them) first ornaments. It truly marks the passage of time. It
makes me wonder how did they grow up so fast??? I miss the days
when they couldn't talk back LOL!
Vamp
Im hanging up a virutal ornament made out of wax, with two paw prints in it..
one that Scamp made with her paw, and on the other side, Tabetha's paw print,
and in the middle, my thumb print.
A Merry Yuletide to the list from us three!!
Sarah the SwampWitch
I'd pick a nice hand-painted glittery ceramic ornament done as the logo of
the Witches Three. The Witches Three logo is of a "Sexy Bitch on a Broom
with bats and cats"! My ornament would portray a very sexy Witch riding a
broom through the starry sky with a small animal (which may be cat - but it
might also be a foo foo dog ) riding on the back of the broom..... and
the Witch is being followed by a few bats who are eager to keep the Witch
company!
On my ornament, the Witch on the broom can be either male or female
depending on the lighting - since I am one of those who thinks that both
males and females can be sexy Bitches (and I use the term Bitches with pride
and affection)........
The reason why I picked this ornament is due to the affection that I have
for all of you on this list, from the most chatty of you to the shy lurkers!
So happy Yule to you and yours - and may the next year bring you peace,
happiness and all your wishes coming true.

tw3)))))))))))))))
Honor
My ornament is a crystal snow globe. Shake it, hold it by the lights of
the tree, look close and see inside your favorite Yuletide memory.
I see a snowy slope, and my father, and six-years-old me, walking home
from Christmas Eve dinner at Nana's. The rest of the family is driving, but
Dad and I walk through the snow, and he teaches me to see the
constellation Orion, and shows me the hunter's starry belt and sword.
The snow glitters back at the stars, blue-white in the moonlight, and
I am warm, warm from my hand in my father's hand.
See what pleases you, see what will heal you and bring you joy.
Willow (the real one)
Hi,
I want an ornament that looks just like me to be set on top of the tree as
the angel. That way I can look down and see the tops of everyones heads.
HAPPY YULE EVERYONE!
Sparkle
my ornament is a water globe of a witch sitting alone in a forest and when
you shake the water globe, flecks of amber and jet float around and sparkle.
Persia
My ornament would have to be the wonderful silver card pentacle that my
little girl has just brought home from school.
They all had to make ornaments for the school tree and she argued with her
teacher that the six sided star that she was supossed to make was not the
right shape. They gave in in the end and now I have a lovely new star on my
tree this year.
