More Thoughts From The Shadows

Through out these pages, I will be giving my views on various things on my life, experiences which touch most of us in some way, shape or form. For example, the healing ritual I described below, is my way of conversing with my dieties. You may have another way of doing it, which may or may not affect you as powerfully.
Depending on my mood, I may go deep into not so happy topics, but that is a part of life, isn't it? I will give you fair warning if I do decide to delve into any topics you may find unappealing.
However, my intent is to show my thoughts on life. I think too much on occasion and there are times when writing is the only release... As I said, you may not always like what I have to say, but if you don't hey, there are other sites to visit. =)
Feel free to drop me a line with comments etc.

Healing Ourselves

It was a beautiful night, the waning moon shone brightly in the sky. The hour struck midnight and the ritual began.
It was a healing ritual, meant to heal the hurts and misunderstandings in our lives. It was also the first ritual I had led.
Honestly, I don't remember much of it, the words just seemed to flow from me as I petitioned the Lord and Lady to watch over us and heal us. I kept two friends in mind as I was speaking, hoping to touch them directly as the power flowed through me.
Huge hugs and smooches to those who helped me with this and supported me in this endeavor. A special thanks to Baal, Ari, Moya, Blade and Kat for everything they did to push me in this direction, even though I went along kicking and screaming =) This ritual would not have been accomplished with out their help.
Feeling the power flowing through me was intoxicating and joyful. I guess I was more ready than I had originally thought. However, I will not be doing another group ritual for a while =) Too stressfull! Please remember, I love you all, even though I have problems showing it sometimes {{{{Hugs to all}}}}

Some Thoughts

When I first started making frineds on the 'net, it reminded me again how diverse we all are.
Think about it... you never know if you are actually talking to your next door neighbor or someone on the other side of the world. Many of us feel easier about talking to someone we will never meet, because there is really no fear of judgement. Yes, there are still misunderstandings, but those are mainly due to language problems and idioms or slang.
How many times have you gone on the 'net to try to find someone to talk to because you had a probem at 3 am? How many real life friends would accept a phone call at 3 am so you could talk out your problem with them?
It is a micro-cosm made up of just words, images and sound effects. We can fall in love, have fights, make friends for life, learn about different cultures, etc, all with just a click of the mouse and an address. You can explore the world, or just your virtual neighborhood... meet new people or see old friends again... find out what is happening up to the minute all over the world, with out having to wade through the newspapers, tv news stations or a library...
It can be interesting, but at the same time it is lonely... you don't honestly know what the person on the other side is thinking, or even if they are what they say... You have to take everything on faith, just as you do in real life... But then again, which is better?
I don't know =) I love both the anonymity of the 'net and the actual inter-personal relationships of real life. They each provide me with something the other does not... It is the two halves of a whole, for me at least.
