Trey and Matt started their film careers in college, with their independent film, Alferd Packer (aka: Cannibal) The Musical, a true story about a Colorado man who got accused of cannibalism. Trey got kicked out of college because he was spending too much time on the film, and not enough on his work. After Cannibal, Trey Parker made a film called Orgazmo, which focuses on a monk who stumbles into porn trying to save money for his wedding. The movie got slapped with an NC-17 rating, which Trey reportedly tried to change by cutting out pieces of the movie, but failed to change it. South Park started when Trey and Matt were asked to design an animated Christmas card, and someone got hold of it and passed it around, and they got a deal.
