“Darling, Where Are You?”

You stopped right beside me to
talk to a friend.
I sat on the bench just gazing up at
you.
Even, when you turned and saw
me staring I kept my eyes pasted
upon your face.
You were so perfect.
You were just like Gabriel.
Yet, I was stuck admiring you and
scared of how much you were just like
my lost love.
I was lost in your heart as you had to
walk away.
You passed a time or two again and
I could tell you wouldn’t have
minded me going up to you.
Yet, I did nothing.
I’m not sure why.
Now, my heart is begging for me to
find you again.
I must.
You may be my only hope to love
again.
Oh, darling, where are you?
