Hello! My name is Gregory P. Hatfield. I am currently a freelance videographer/editor working in the news department of a top-25 ADI television station in Baltimore, Md. I am skilled in both linear (tape-to-tape) and non-linear (AVID) computer editing. I have edited on Sony Beta equipment and Panasonic DVC Pro, as well as Mac-based AVID editing stations. I have thirteen years of experience editing television news under high-pressure and tight-deadline conditions. I am also a webmaster, currently maintaining four distinctly different types of web sites. The most recent, Electra Entertainment, is a business web site for a party disc jockey in the Baltimore/D.C. metro area. Before my association with Electra, I built many different kinds of web sites, each one further developing my skills. My most recent was a fan appreciation web site for one of my favorite rock and roll bands, the Galactic Cowboys. Before that, I designed a tribute to my father and the very interesting life he led as an entertainer and pilot. The Life and Times of Paul Hatfield demonstrates how my father turned adversity into good fortune! Greg's Music Shoppe is a CDNow store which so far has generated zero dollars and no cents! I review the masterpiece albums of four rock bands: "The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway" by Genesis; "Days of Future Passed" by the Moody Blues; "The Dark Side of the Moon" by Pink Floyd; and "Who's next" by The Who. Last but most certainly not least, I am also a singer/songwriter. I am currently in the process of recording a demo of a few of my songs, which I will be posting on this web site soon, in the form of downloadable MP3 files. My desire at this point is to move beyond the basics of television news and into more creative computer-edited endeavors, including, but not limited to, multimedia content creation and game development. I am also interested in furthering my webmastering and songwriting endeavors, as well as becoming certified to teach K-12. I am available for freelance or contract work, as well as substitute teaching. Please see the contact information I have provided for you in the left column. I hope to be hearing from you soon!

Sincerely,

Gregory P. Hatfield
