Shiva Afshar (AKA Shiva Rose), 30, is an actress of Iranian/French descent. She is Dylan's wife of 4 years. They met in 1995 in a coffeeshop near Santa Monica in LA. It was at one of the lowpoints in his life. He says he heard a whisper to "look" once he was inside and he knew she was the one at first site. She was the first woman he ever pursued (let me hear a collective heavy sigh). Dylan says he believes in true love. Dylan says one thing he loves most about his wife is her generosity.

Shiva used to work for Betsey Johnson in LA. Shiva gives Dylan fashion advice. But he wishes she would work on her driving skills. She currently resides in the Brentwood area of Los Angeles.

Shiva and Dylan have a 4 year old daughter, Colette. He calls her Coco as a nickname. He said having a child made him realize his capacity for love. This pic is of Colette and Daddy at the Rugrats premier.

Our spies tell us she may become more of a regular on The Practice. She debuted 10/25/98 (season 3, episode 4) as an Iranian suing for wrongful termination from a job over her nationality. Jimmy defends his cousin against her and loses (the judge overturns the jury verdict. I never knew they could do that) then asks her for a date. That's our Jimmy. Anyway, Dylan in a recent Canadian TV Guide said she did a great job and looked beautiful. We couldn't agree more.

This came to me as a shock this morning....Shiva used to be in an acting class with me at California State Universtiy, Northridge. She always had impeccable style and she used to wear vintage clothes all the time. All the guys liked her and all the girls were jealous of her. We could just tell that she was going to go onto an amazing life...and I was shocked to discover this morning that she has...from a friend of mine who was in the acting class and who used to work in a store next to Betsy Johnson and hang out with her. I remember she was very nice.....Yes, my friends and I saw this and we were eating our envy rags....what a life, huh? looks like I was sitting on the wrong side of the class...that's all I got for you here. --Victoria
