		My name is Gizmo. My goal in life is to give love to everyone. I'm friendly to everyone I meet and always want to lick their faces. Some people only let me lick their hands. I don't like strange dogs, because once four BIG dogs cornered me at the beach, and if our human didn't come and pick me up, I think they would have been really mean to me. So now I growl at all strange dogs to let them know that I'm really tough and they should keep their distance. Besides, I have to protect Lady and our human. I'm part Lhasa Apso, which gave me my bowed legs and long silky hair, part Shih-Tzu, which gave me my big round eyes, and part something else, maybe Terrier. My colors are white, rust, brown and black. One thing I really love is to pose for pictures. Don't I look handsome?

		Hi, I'm Lady. Don't let Gizmo fool you. I'm a tough cookie!!! I have assigned myself the job of watchdog for our home, and I bark very loud when anybody invades our building or walks past. Our human neighbors in our building like that because it helps them keep safe. I also love to swim. Whenever we go hiking in the woods, I run into the stream and try to find a place where it's about 8 inches deep. Then I do the Poodle Paddle. I also love to swim at Rehoboth Bay, where the water is calm. Gizmo and I chase the birds all over the beach, too. I love to pose for pictures too. I know I'm cute. Whenever I want something, I just act extra-cute and the humans give me whatever I want! I'm half miniature Poodle and half Cocker Spaniel. My colors are buff and apricot, except my toe pads, which are all black. I'm really smart, like a Poodle, and really stubborn but sweet, like a Cocker Spaniel. I know exactly what I want to do and I'm always in a hurry to do it. Our pet human always wants to pick me up and hug me, but I don't have time for that. Except when I get really sleepy, then I want her to rub my belly and pet me. I like to snuggle up against her and go to sleep. When I was little, I couldn't sleep unless she held onto my paw. We held hands until I got bigger and wasn't scared any more.

		Chewing rawhide is the best! It's even better if I steal it from Gizmo. He always seems to get a piece when I do, but I'm the boss of this house and he should know that. I always take his piece along with mine. Sometimes he steals it back, though.

		Lady's always stealing my chewies. But she left that chewy rawhide stick behind. I'm getting it before she gets back!! I'm a good dog and very patient, but she steals all my stuff. Sometimes I just have to steal something back.
		Once when we went to the vet, our pet human took our leashes off. Lady made a break for it, and I really REALLY wanted to run with her, but I'm loyal to my pet human and I stayed where I was. She didn't tell me to. I just knew that was the right thing to do. The vet said I was a really good boy. That's just the way I am.

		We love each other, but when it comes to tug of war, it's every pup for him or herself! We growl and make fierce faces at each other. It's fun to be scary! GRRRRRR!!
