Before Victor there was Eric! Before (and after) Hope there was Billie! Meet the old lovers of some of your favorite DAYS characters. They've left town, but we'll always remember them.
SAMI & AUSTIN
JUST THE FACTS
NAMES: Samantha Jean Brady and Austin Reed
THE FINE ACTORS WHO PORTRAY THEM: Alison Sweeney and Austin Peck; Patrick Muldoon (1992-1995)
WEDDING: Their first wedding took place in Paris a few years back. Their goal was to make the French government believe that they were really in love so they could get custody of their son Will, who had been kidnapped. It wasn't until 1997 at their second wedding that it was revieled that Will wasn't really Austin's son. Austin then married his true love, Carrie.
CHILDREN: Nope, but they are bonded by Will, who Austin thought was his son for the first few years of Will's life.
SPECIAL SONG: No they don't have one as far as I know.
THE PEOPLE WHO WERE A THREAT TO THEM
Brandon : Sami's best friend, who was also openly in love with her. He had been trying to help Sami gain custody of Will, and he put his life on the line for her several times.
Kate: Austin's mother who hates Sami more than anyone, and even had Moroni put a hit out on her!
WHAT HAPPENED TO THIS COUPLE
Sami and Austin were about to get re-married, and they he overheard her admit that she lied about Lucas hitting will. Austin hit the roof and left for NYC.
ERIC & NICOLE

NAMES: Eric Roman Brady and Nicole Walker
THE FINE ACTORS WHO PORTRAY(ED) THEM: Arianne Zucker and Jensen Ackles
SPECIAL GIFTS: Eric gave Nicole a beautiful neckless.
THE PEOPLE WHO WERE A THREAT TO THEM
Greta: Eric's current girlfriend, whom he is serious about.
Lucas: Nicole’s hubby, whom she married because Kate payed her $5 million.
Kate: Had information concerning Nicole’s past that she would not want Eric to see.
WHAT HAPPENED TO THIS COUPLE
Nicole and Eric reconciled and had planned to leave town together, but Eric ended up going without her.
BO & BILLIE
JUST THE FACTS
NAMES: Billie Reed Brady and Bo Brady
THE FINE ACTORS WHO PORTRAYED THEM: Krista Allen-Morrit and Peter Reckell; Lisa Rinna (1993-1996) and Robert Kelker-Kelly (1992-1995).
WEDDING: Their first wedding was interuppted by a crashing chandelier, and then by Alice Horton who said that she thought that Gina was Hope. But finally, they were husbend and wife in February of 1995. Later, it was confirmed that Gina was in fact Bo's dead wife Hope. Billie left town to let Bo and Hope explore their feelings for eachother, but she came back over a year later, still in love with Bo. She got mixed up with Bo's drug opperation and was forced to marry Bo in order to keep Bo's cover.
CHILDREN: Georgia, who died when she was born. Billie lied about the time and place where she delivered Georgia stillborne, so she could blame it on an argument that she and Hope had had. This eventually came out and Bo was furious with Billie.
SPECIAL GIFT: Billie's first gift from Bo was a brass ring snared from a merry-go-round they took together on a trip to Hollywood.
SPECIAL SONG: “I’ll Make Love To You” by Boys II Men was played more than once for them.
THE PEOPLE WHO WERE A THREAT TO THEM
Hope: She was Bo's wife whom everyone thought was dead, but it came to light that she did not really die. As much as Bo tried to stay with Billie, he realized that he still loved Hope and this was the root of all of Bo and Billie's troubles.
Roman: Bo's big bro Roman had a fling or two with Billie and they were attracted to each other. Both Roman and Billie were still upset from the losses they have suffered, but they were mostly very good friends.
WHAT HAPPENED TO THIS COUPLE?
Billie realized that Bo and Hope were meant for each other and tried to move on. She thought that things were progressing with Nicholas, but she realized that he was only dating her at the request of Kate, her mother, whom he really was after. She left town for Paris upon finding out the truth.
JOHN & GINA
JUST THE FACTS
NAMES: John Black and Princess Gina Von Amburg
THE FINE ACTORS WHO PORTRAYED THEM: Drake Hogestyn and Kristian Alfonso
CHILDREN: Gina has a grown daughter, Greta, and on her death bed she revealed to Greta who her real father is. We still don't know yet.
SPECIAL GIFT: John gave Gina a compact with a "G" engraved on it. This compact has a key, hidden in it's secret compartment, that goes to Lili Faversham's safe deposit box. Also, two candle sticks that John gave to her were special.
THE PEOPLE WHO WERE A THREAT TO THEM
Marlena: She was John's wife, and she was not about to give John up to Gina.
John, himself: It was the John of 1985 that was in love with Gina, not the John of 1999. The present John is in love, and is married to, Marlena. John is now aware that he loved Princess Gina in 1985, but he has no memory of that time.
WHAT HAPPENED TO THEM?
Gina gave up on John, realizing that there was no future for them. She set her sights on Bo, who thought she was Hope. She ended up getting killed after she shot Marlena and then Shawn D.
ROMAN & BILLIE

NAMES: Roman Brady & Billie Reed
THE FINE ACTORS WHO PORTRAYED THEM: Josh Taylor and Krista Allen
WHAT HAPPENED TO THEM?
Billie, still trying to move on with her life after Bo, thought that she could build a future with Nicholas (which Roman supported). It didn't work out and so she left town. Roman still lives in Salem.
VICTOR & VIVIAN
JUST THE FACTS
NAMES: Victor Kiriakis & Vivian Alamain DiMera
THE FINE ACTORS WHO PORTRAYED THEM: John Aniston and Louise Sorel
WEDDING: I am not really sure if they were ever married or if they had a wedding or not.
CHILDREN: None, but Vivian did give birth to Victor's child by stealing the embryo from Kate...
WHAT HAPPENED TO THIS COUPLE?
Vivian was able to get Victor released from the nursing home, and tried to get him back. After realizing she didn't have a chance, she left town with Ivan, who had won a $40 million jackpot!
