The Unsaved Document Oh no! Tell me this isn't happening. The document was all but done, then that quick blink of electricity. Now my computer is rebooting, and this has happened once too often for me to not know what I'm going to find when I start up my word processor again. "What's that?" "Was the document saved?" "Well, not exactly. You see, I had been so busy that I really hadn't taken the time for that. The document had to be created, then the format changes had to be added; there was centering to be done, font changes to be made, I spell checked it, and even ran the grammar check because this was so important. And it was a great document, everything was done just right, it would have impressed everyone at the meeting." Oh no! The Meeting! Its only five minutes, until... no wait, my watch is slow, the meeting is starting now, I hear the folk talking as they move toward the conference room. What will Mr. Johnson say when he finds out that.... "Oh, Mr. Johnson... Hi,.... The proposal?.. Well you see it was all but finished...., and it really looked good... and..." "No Sir, I don't have it." "No Sir, It wasn't saved." "Yes Sir, I understand Sir..." In a world that moves at a nanosecond pace; in a culture that allows us every conceivable option (and some options that were better left not conceived); in a life filled with endless possibilities; it is a heartbreaking reality that everyday, most of the folk around us move through life without ever focusing on the one thing that matters most. There are proposals to be written, movies to be seen, families to be loved and countless other worthwhile activities to be undertaken. All the while, the God who created us and desires a relationship with us, patiently calls and waits for our response.
