Alpha Chi Omega

GQ History

The beginnings of Gamma Theta Chapter go back to a treacherous drive over icy roads in Feburary 1948. This adventure from Union Station in Washington D.C. to the University of Maryland in Collge Park brought two colonizers, Viola Hock and Joan Harrington.

Within two months, eleven girls had been pledged to become the Gamma Theta Colony. On October 31, 1948, Gamma Theta Chapter was officially installed.
