Chapter 9

"Omg Samantha, are you ok?" Jane asked grabbing Sam's hand as soon as she entered the kitchen," your cheaks are all red, what's the matter?"

"Aunt Jane, I'm ok. It's nothing,"Sam said trying to calm her aunt down. She knew she was red because of the totally embarrasing situation that had unfolded upstairs moments before. She needed to find a way to take her mind off of it.

"I think you need some more rest hunnie," Jane responded putting her hands on Samantha's shoulders.

"I slept while you were out, I'm fine, really I am,"Sam said trying to change the subject. "So can you show us the rest of the house now?"

"If you feel up to it, I guess,"Jane said still unsure on her neice's condition.

"Yeah, I'm fine,"Sam replied getting tired of reasuring her aunt that she was feeling better.

"Ok, then I guess we'll start upstairs then,"Jane said motioning towards the steps. Jane made it a point to walk behind Sam in case something happened. Sam realized this and like a 2 year old being watched to make sure they didn't do something bad.

Jane showed the girls all the rooms on the top and middle floor and soon found themselves back in the kitchen.

"What about down there?" Sam asked pointing towards the set of steps at the start of the hall.

"Oh, that's the office and basement," Jane explained,"that's where Dan does his work. He told you he designs sets for musical tours, right?"

"Yeah, he did, sounds exciting,"Sam replied. She couldn't get her mind off of how the whole day had felt like a dream. Her luck seemed to be backfiring. She got to meet her idols, yet in a very interesting way, and then embarrassing herself in front of them. She felt that it couldn't get more embarrassing. Boy was she wrong!
