The bus arrived about 15 minutes later. "Wow, this place is awesome!" Samantha said as she looked around the bus. There were bunks in an enclosed sleeping area, and there was a separate TV room. There was a kitchen area attached, and in the back there was a big bathroom, well, big for a bus at least.
"Haha, I'm capturing you!" AJ yelled as he grabbed Sam by the waist and threw her into one of the bunks. Sam started laughing as AJ both tickled her and kissed her at once. Out of the bunk, Nick and Megan raised their eyebrows and grinned at each other. Just then, the portable phone on the kitchen table rang. Nick picked it up, saying, "Hello, this is the funny farm. To whom do you wish to speak?...Oh, hey Lou. What's up? Long time no speak...Uh huh...Yeah...Oh, okay, that's cool. It's gonna be a blast, they are awesome...Are you joining us?...Oh, well, you I guess you shouldn't, you know how this bus gets, and we even have more people this time...Yeah, AJ and I brought our girlfriends...Okay, we'll meet them at the airport then...All right...You too...Buh Bye...Okay, Lou, we will...Okay, bye Lou...Okay, goodbye Lou!" He hung up the phone and groaned.
Megan went over to him and started to give him a back massage. "Who was that?" she asked.
"That was our manager, Lou Pearlman. He called to tell us that *N Sync will be joining us for about half the tour, and that we have to pick them up at the airport when we meet the plane to fly to Orlando!" He sighed.
"Really? That's awesome! What's wrong? Don't you like them?" she asked him.
"Well, I like them, kinda. But sometimes they get so stuck up and they think that they are better than we are, which is totally not true. And...well, I don't know, they just aren't my favorite people at this moment. I think that they totally copied off of us. I mean, don't get me wrong, they are all really nice people. Well, except for Justin. He is such a poser, and he totally wishes he were black. And I don't think that he can sing at all, which is totally stupid, because he is in a musical group. And~"
"Okay, okay, I, like TOTALLY get the picture, you don't like Justin. Oh well, you don't have to love him, there are four other guys in the group, talk to them, instead." Megan said as she got up and went to the fridge to get a soda. "Want one?" she asked Nick.
"No thanks," he replied.
She came over and sat down across the table from him. "So," she said. "Tell me about this tour. I mean all the details: Where are we going, Who's coming with us, Who are we meeting, When do we get days off. How about starting with, Who's driving the bus?"
Nick smiled. "Well," he began, all serious and official sounding. "A guy named Ted is driving the bus. He is on our security team. The other 'official' people on the bus right now are Randy, Gus, and Tom. They are our security guards. Then we are meeting my mom, AJ's mom, and Joey, Justin, Lance, JC, and Chris at the airport, along with their security team. Then we will board the plane and fly to Orlando, where we will be picked up in a kick~ass limo and driven to our hotel. Ted will drive the bus to Orlando and meet us there. Then we will give our concert, and then we are spending three days in Disney World, hanging out in the Magic Kingdom. Then we will get on the bus and head to...umm...I think it's Atlanta, where we will stop in the hotel, give the concert, and travel to the next place. We'll do the same thing in Charlotte, Virginia Beach, Washington DC, and Baltimore. Then we have a day off, and then we go to York, Philadelphia, and Pittsburgh. Then we go to New York, where we will be on Regis and Kathie Lee. We'll give two shows there, both at Radio City Music Hall. Then we are going on Saturday Night Live to perform. And then we have three days off to see the city and do picture shoots and stuff. And that's about all I can remember, so after New York, come back and we'll see what's next on the hit parade," he finished, looking slightly out of breath.
"Geez," Megan said, sipping her Diet Coke. "This is so cool! We're going to Disney World! I've only been there once, and that was when I was, like, six or seven. AND we'll be there for my birthday! That is so cool. We're gonna be really busy," she said, looking excited.
"Well, it's very tiring, but performing is cool. That's the best part, being up on stage and stuff. It's too bad you don't get to do THAT with us, that would be totally awesome!"
"Well, we'll see about that," Megan said with a mischievous glint in her eye.
"Hey..." Nick said suspiciously. Hey got up and went around the table to sit next to Megan. "What are you girls planning to throw at poor Brian this time?"
"We are not planning to throw anything at Brian, although given the chance, I would throw this whole bus and all of its contents at him. But Sam and I are going to be dancers in Aaron's show!"
"Ohhhhhhh, I see. Well, that could be cool. It would be better if you would be dancers in OUR show, but..."
"Oh, can we do both? I hope so, that would just be totally kick ass, nothing would beat it. This is going to be so cool! I so cannot wait!" Megan exclaimed, grinning.
"Well, you guys have to learn the dances. There aren't that many where we need extra dancers, I think just 'Everybody', maybe 'Let's Have A Party.' But you'd have to learn them and Aaron's dances in only one day, and that could be tough. So you might not be able to do our shows until, like, next week. I'll have to check with our choreographer, Fatima. But I don't really see the problem, besides the fact that Brian will blow a fuse, but you don't really care about that, now do you."
Megan frowned. "I don't see what his problem is. I mean, it's not really that big of a deal. He's just got a problem with me seeing you, and my best friend seeing AJ. He thinks it's 'unprofessional' or something like that, I bet."
Just then, Samantha and AJ walked into the kitchen area. Samantha's hair was a mess, and AJ was missing an earring. "Hey you guys, have a nice 'nap'?" Megan asked with a grin and a wink.
"Please don't wink, you are starting to look like Howie," Sam said. Nick and AJ started to laugh, and soon Megan joined in.
"What? What are you talking about? I thought I heard my name," Howie said confusingly as he came in the kitchen.
"Um, nothing Howie. We didn't say anything about you, why would we?" Nick said, his face red.
"I don't know, I just..." Howie trailed off as he went to the cupboard above the sink and took out a bag of chips. He hopped up to sit on the counter. Just as he sat down, the bus lurched and went over a bump. Howie went flying into the table, knocking Megan's half-full soda can to the floor. "Oh, whoops! That one got me there. Let me just clean that up. I'm really sorry. Did any get on you?" He asked Megan apologetically. "I swear, I'm such a klutz."
"No, none got on me. You are not, don't worry about it. It's not a problem. Here, I'll help you clean it up," Megan replied, smiling.
"Oh, thanks," Howie said as he mopped up the spilled soda. When the floor was all clean and shiny again, he asked Nick, " Who was on the phone?" "Oh! That's right, I'm supposed to tell you guys. That was Lou, he called to tell us that N Sync would be joining us for about half the tour. We are meeting them at the airport."
"Oh, okay, that's cool. They're a fun bunch," Howie said as he went back to the TV room to tell Brian and Kevin.
"Oh, goody," AJ said as he slid down in his seat.
"Ok, Nick doesn't like Justin, who don't you like?" Megan asked AJ.
"Oh, it's not that I don't LIKE them...Well, I guess it is. I like Justin, JC, Lance, and Joey fine, but Chris is so annoying. Let's just say he's not my favorite person in the world right now, and vice~versa."
Nick started laughing. "Yeah, last time we all got together AJ here gave Chris a black eye for buying the same color hair dye as him. It was soooooooooo funny!"
Megan and Samantha giggled as they felt the bus roll to a stop. "Hey, I think we're at the airport," Megan said. She grabbed Nick's hand and they went out the door where they met Brian, Aaron, Kevin and Howie. The eight of them all got their book bags and purses and walked in the doors of the airport, lead by a security team. They were flocked by dozens of screaming teenage girls, all screaming so loud that Megan couldn't hear herself think. They ran through the airport, and they were brought to a private little room where they were told to wait for their flight to be called.
Just as they sat down, the door opened. Two women walked in. Megan recognized one as Mrs. Carter, Nick and Aaron's mom, and she guessed that the other one was Mrs. McLean, AJ's mom. Sure enough, she went over to Megan and Samantha and stuck out her hand. "Hi, I'm Denise McLean, AJ's mom. You can call me Denise, though. You must be Megan and Samantha. I've heard a lot about the two of you."
Megan smiled and shook the kind woman's hand. "I'm Megan, and this is my friend Sam."
Mrs. McLean turned to Sam and shook her hand. "I hope you all have a real nice time on the tour. It should be a blast, judging by the last couple of tours. And with N Sync coming, it ought to be a non~stop laugh fest." She smiled. "Now, ladies, if you'll excuse me, I have some business to attend to." She turned and walked out of the room.
Just as she left, Joey, Justin, Chris, JC, and Lance from N Sync walked in, flanked by their own security guards. Mrs. Carter walked over to them. "Hi guys," she said to them with a grin. She turned to the BSB. "You all remember N Sync, right?" Brian and Kevin nodded. Mrs. Carter turned to Megan and Sam. "Of course, you guys don't know them. Megan and Sam, this is Joey Fatone, JC Chasez, Justin Timberlake, Lance Bass, and Chris Kirkpatrick. You guys, this is Brian's sister, Megan Littrell, and her friend, Samantha Kelly. They are going on tour with us."
"Hi,' Megan said with a smile. "I'm Megan." She dropped Nick's hand and went over to shake N Sync's hands.
"And I'm Samantha, but you can call me Sam." Sam followed Megan's lead. Oh my gosh, this is so cool. Meg and I are going on tour with the hottest guys in the world! She thought to herself. She saw Megan scoping out Justin, and he doing the same to Megan. Hmmm...I wonder what's gonna happen with them? Meg's dating Nick though...Oh, this could get tricky!
Megan went up to Justin and shook his hand. "Hi, I'm Megan," she said pleasantly.
"And I'm Justin," he said, gazing into her mesmerizing eyes. He thought that she was the damn finest girl he had ever seen. Sweet Lord, she's hot. Too bad she's taken by that God~awful Nick, he thought.
"Pleased to meet you," She said are she smiled at him. She thought that he was totally fine. He had blonde curly short hair, and baby blue eyes. He was tall, 6'0", and he was totally built. God, he's hot. She thought. Wait a minute! NICK's hot. You're supposed to like NICK, remember, Megan? She told herself. Still, I can LOOK. I mean, it's not like we're married or anything. She sighed and looked around. She saw all the guys greeting each other like old friends. She motioned for Samantha to come over. "What's up?" Sam asked.
"Come with me to the bathroom, k?" Megan asked.
"Sure," Sam said. They went over to the door, took a deep breath, and opened the door. All they saw were screaming girls, expecting N Sync or the Backstreet Boys to come out. Megan and Sam pushed their way through the crowd, hoping nobody would follow them.
They found a bathroom and hurried in, afraid that anyone would follow them. "Geez! I can't believe that! It's like Beetle~mania out there!" Sam exclaimed as she pulled out a tube of lipstick and reapplied it. "Oh, and little Miss Littrell, what was that eye~wondering at Justin all about? Something looks fishy if you ask me," she said.
"Oh, nothing, he is just totally fine," Megan said as she came out of a stall.
Sam turned and looked at Megan unbelievingly. Megan saw the look and exclaimed, "What? Why are you looking at me like that?" (AUTHOR’S NOTE-I know, I sound like a little slut here. Sorry.)
"I can't believe you! You are supposed to think that NICK is fine, remember?" Sam said.
"I know! I think he's totally fine too, even more so. There's no competition. I love Nick, I mean, nothing's going to happen between me and Justin. I barely even know him! Sheesh. Cut me some slack," Megan said as she washed and dried her hands. "Come on, let's go back now."
Sam and Meg went back out, dodging screaming fans left and right. They ran into the room, just as the guys were getting ready to leave. "The plane's here, you guys," said Nick as he went over and helped Megan with her stuff. "Let's go."
They left the room, running to the gate where their plane was behind their bodyguards. When they finally reached the ramp, Samantha was out of breath. "Whew!" she said to AJ as they boarded the plane. "I can't believe that you have to do that everywhere you go!"
AJ shrugged as her found his seat in the first~class area of the plane. "Yeah, it gets kind of annoying sometimes, but at least they ARE screaming, you know? I mean, we could be totally unpopular and have no fans. That would suck!"
"Don't worry, that could never happen," said Sam as she stowed her luggage above their seats and stooped down to give AJ a quick kiss before settling in her seat. "You guys are too awesome for that."
On the plane, there were four seats across on each side of the isle. In one row, it was Megan, Nick, Sam and AJ, in the one across from them it was Joey, JC, Chris, and Brian. In the row behind Megan and Sam's it was Justin, Howie, Kevin and Lance. Justin was sitting directly behind Megan.
Megan was in between Nick and Sam. "I am so EXCITED!" she shrieked. "We're going to DISNEY WORLD! This is SO COOL! I LOVE YOU GUYS SO MUCH!"
"Megan, calm down a little bit," Kevin said while the others laughed.
She started laughing too. "Well, it IS pretty cool, you have to admit that."
"Yeah, I think so too," said Sam to Megan who's squealing had interrupted her make~out session with AJ.
The plane took off. "How long is this flight?" Megan said much less enthusiastically. "I really don't like planes that much."
"About an hour," Justin answered her. "Don't worry. Here's some gum," he said, handing her a piece of juicy fruit, "in case your ears pop."
"Thanks," Megan said as she took the gum. She smiled at him and turned back around. She saw Nick scowling at Justin. She put a hand on his shoulder. "Calm down," she said soothingly. "It's just a stick of gum."
"I know. I just..." Nick replied, staring into her eyes.
"Don't worry, be happy! We're going to Disney World!" Megan said. She laid her head on his shoulders.
"I know," he said softly as he kissed the top of her head. "You should go to sleep. We've got a long day ahead of us."
"Um kay, goodnight," Megan murmured, already halfway asleep.
