“Nick, where are you?” Brian called as he got back into his room. He had dropped Megan off with Cassie, Jen and Kellie, who were gonna meet up with Sam when she got back. It was Wednesday night, so of course they all had to watch Dawson’s Creek, and none of the guys would be caught dead watching THAT show.
“Out here,” Nick called from the porch where he was sitting.
“Hey Frack, whatcha doin’ out here?” Brian asked as he pulled up a chair and sat down next to him.
“Just thinkin’.”
“Oh,” Brian replied. There was a silence as he thought of what to say next. “Are you thinking about Megan?”
“What else would I be thinking about?” Nick replied, smiling to himself.
Brian looked down at his hands. “I don’t know.”
“Well, I can’t seem to think about anything else right now but her and how much I want her back.”
“You have to go and talk to her, Nick. She wants to be with you, too, she just doesn’t know it.”
“And how am I supposed to tell her that?” Nick replied.
“Just apologize to her. And take her some flowers, daisies if possible. They’re her favorite.”
“But what am I supposed to say to her? I mean, I realize that I was being a little too possessive, and I should trust her, but it makes me so jealous when I see her with Justin. I think she’s cheating on me, but she’s not. And I know she’s not that type of girl, but I still can’t seem to get over it.”
“Hmmm…” Brian thought out loud. “Well, just tell her what you just told me. She’s probably in the same boat as you. She’s just as hurt as you when she sees you with Sam.”
“But I never did anything with Sam! I didn’t flirt with her or anything. All I did was talk to her. She’s my friend.”
Brian smiled wisely. “Well, little bro, there’s your answer. Just take everything you said, and replace you with Meg, and Sam with Justin.”
Nick thought about it for a minute. “I guess you’re right.”
“Aren’t I always?”
Nick slugged him on the shoulder. “So when should I tell her?”
“As soon as possible, but not right now. She and the rest of the gals are watching Dawson’s Creek.”
“Uh, that nasty show?” Nick said as he and Brian walked into the hotel. “What do they see in it?”

Megan sighed as she fell back onto Cassie’s bed. Dawson’s Creek had just ended. “Goodness,” she said to the other 4 girls in the room. “Joey needs to learn to stay away from those gay guys. She needs to hook up with Dawson. They are THE perfect couple.”
“I know. But that was so funny when Jen was setting up those two old people. She’s not as much of a bitch anymore now that she’s not trying to steal Dawson from Joey,” Jen said.
“Yeah, I know. But I still don’t like her,” Sam said.
“And I can’t believe that was her DAD! Awwww…” Cassie said. “I hope their family gets all situated.”
“Well, I have to get back to my room guys. I want to talk to AJ,” Sam said with a yawn. “Coming Meg?”
“Yeah, I guess,” Megan said with a sigh.
“I’ll come with you, I wanna talk to Kevin,” Jen said with a smile.
“Ooooooooo, Jen! That is so kewl!” Megan shrieked with a big smile on her face. The other girls laughed. She turned to Cassie and Kellie. “Now we have to hook YOU guys up!”
The two sisters laughed. “We’ll see about THAT one,” Kellie said with a grin.
Samantha nodded vigorously as girls walked by the pool on their way to Kevin and Lance’s room. “Me and Megan are, like, the BEST matchmakers in the WORLD,” she said with a grin. Everyone laughed as Megan unlocked the door to her room. But she stopped in her tracks when she saw Nick sitting on her bed, looking at her.
“Umm…maybe we should go,” Sam muttered when she saw the look Megan was giving Nick. The 4 girls tiptoed out and shut the door behind them.
Nick looked at Megan. “Before you say anything, I just wanted to let you know that I’m sorry. I’m so, so sorry, Megan. I didn’t mean all those things I said, and I DO trust you. I don’t know what got into me. It just made me feel…I don’t know, all weird inside when I saw you walk in with Justin. I never want to lose you, and seeing you with him made me feel like I was going to explode. I just wanted to kill him on the spot for even being in the same ROOM as you. I know I was being too possessive, and I didn’t mean to. It’s just that you mean the world to me, and I never, EVER want to lose you,” he said. He stood up and took her hands, looking into her eyes, which were brimming with tears. “Can you please forgive me?” he asked, his own eyes watering.
Megan walked away from him and sat on the bed. “Oh, Nick,” she said, her tears spilling over. “I’m sorry too. It was just as much my fault as it was yours. I behaved the same way about Sam.” Nick sat down on the bed next to her.
“I guess we’re too much alike for our own good,” he said.
Megan grinned at him. “I guess so.” Nick smiled back at her as she leaned over and put her head on his lap. “Oh, I’m sorry Nick. I shouldn’t have over reacted like that.”
“No, no. It was all my fault. I shouldn’t have been so over protective,” Nick said, stroking her hair. Megan sat up and opened her mouth as if to argue, but Nick put his hand over it. “Anyway, who cares? It’s over and done with. Let’s just let things go back to normal.”
“Okay,” Megan said as she leaned close for a kiss. Just before their lips touched, they heard a loud “FINALLY” coming from the other side of the adjoining door. Megan got up and opened it, and found AJ, Brian, Sam, Kellie, Cassie, Jen and Kevin on the other side, all straining to hear.
“Oh, um, hey guys,” Sam said, looking sheepish.

Samantha woke Megan up at 8:00 the next morning, screaming HAPPY BIRTHDAY in her ear. She was taking Megan out to breakfast at a quaint little café outside Disney. They went outside and hopped in the limo that Sam had arranged to pick them up, and they blasted ‘N Sync and Backstreet Boys all the way to the restaurant. When they were done eating, they headed to some outlets that they saw and shopped until 11:00. They headed back to the hotel.
“Oh my gosh, Sam, thanks soooooo much for this! It was so much fun!” Megan exclaimed as she unlocked the door to their room. She went over to the connecting door and opened it. She found Nick sitting on the bed with JC.
“Hey, guys, what’s up?” Megan asked them as she hopped on the bed next to Nick.
Nick leaned over and kissed her. “Hey, happy birthday!” he said.
“Yeah, Meg, happy birthday,” JC added as he waved to Sam.
“Meg, I’m goin’ to find AJ,” Sam said.
“K, hun, cya later,” Megan replied.
“Meg, are you in here?” Cassie asked as she walked through the open door into Megan’s room.
“In here,” Megan and JC called in unison.
“Oh, hey, Meg, happy birthday,” Cassie said as she walked into the room. “I was looking for ya.”
“Kewl,” Meg said. “So what’s the scoop with Jen and Kev?”
Cassie grinned. “Well…I walked into Lance’s room this morning, and Jen and Kevin were lookin’ pretty durn close,” she said.
Megan and Nick laughed. “That’s kewl,” JC said, peering at Cassie.
“Yeah,” Cassie said, smiling at him. Nick and Megan noticed the attraction, and they both started laughing.
“WELL, guys, wanna go out to lunch?” JC asked them.
“I’d love to,” Cassie answered, still gazing at him. She never realized how good-looking he was. He had brown hair and blue-gray eyes that sparkled, and he had an incredible smile. He was hott enough to challenge Justin as the hottie of N Sync, at least in Cassie’s opinion.
“Sure, why not?” Nick answered. He and Megan linked arms and headed for the door.
JC smiled at Cassie. “After you,” he said, bowing. Cassie giggled as she followed Megan and Nick, who were smiling at each other.
JC brought up the rear of the group, surprised at how elated he felt. I think it’s this girl Cassie. SHE’S making me feel like this, he thought. I mean, she IS pretty fine. Cassie was 5’10”, and like her sisters, she had sandy blonde hair and a killer smile. She had tan skin and a figure like a model. People often compared her to Katie Holmes, and Cassie didn’t mind a bit, considering that Katie was her favorite actress.
They all hopped onto the monorail and headed for the park.

“Put that balloon up there,” Sam commended her boyfriend as he blew up balloons to hang up. She was supervising the surprise party they were throwing for Megan. Brian and Kevin came in with a 6-foot sub.
“Think it’s enough food for everyone?” Kevin asked Jen with a grin.
“Definitely,” Jen replied with a smile.,p> “COME ON, PEOPLE, CONCENTRATE,” Sam yelled over the crowd in the noisy room. “20 minutes and counting until they get back!”

JC and Cassie were walking in front of Nick and Megan as they walked back into the lobby of the hotel. Megan and Nick were giggling and flirting, tickling each other and spying on JC and Cassie. “Woah,” Nick said as he looked into the distance. “Check out that storm that’s brewing.”
The four of them turned to look as it stared to rain. They all ran into the hotel when Nick remembered that they were setting up the party for Megan, and JC and Cassie had to get up there. “Come on, Megs,” Nick said, pulling her hand. “Let’s go for a walk in the rain.”
“Oh, how romantic,” Megan said smiling at him and pretending to swoon.
“We’ll meet you guys up there,” JC said as he grabbed Cassie’s hand and pulled her on the elevator. Nick and Megan were heading for the door when the lights flickered.

On the elevator, the lights flickered and JC and Cassie looked up as the elevator came to a sudden stop. “Cheese and rice,” Cassie said as she fell into his arms from the abrupt stop.
“Looks like we’re stuck here for a while,” JC said. He didn’t let go of her, he just held her in his arms.
“What are we gonna do now?” Cassie asked as she looked up into his eyes.
JC gazed back at her. “I have an idea,” JC said as he leaned in and gently pressed his lips against hers.

“I’ll race ya to the room,” Nick said as he hopped up off the soggy beach, pulling her with him. He started running, his wet hair in his face.
“Nick, stop!” Megan yelled as he pulled her behind him. She jumped on him and tackled him to the ground. He laughed as he fell onto the sand, pulling him on top of her. He sat there and gazed up at her, her face framed by grey skies and falling rain. He reached up and touched her face, pushing her hair out of the way. She smiled and leaned foreward and kissed him.
