Chapter 10

"I can't believe you do something like that to me Meg!" Nick exclaimed as he came out of the bathroom. Megan and Sam were in his room playing video games with Aaron and Brian. He had just gotten out of the shower and he was in his boxers with no shirt on.

"What? Do what?" Megan said innocently as she and Sam finished their game of Wave Race on the Nintendo 64.

"You know very well what! I am so totally embarrassed! I can't believe you guys would betray us like that!" Nick exclaimed, his face red with anger.

“Oh, I’m sorry, baby, it was just too easy! Please forgive me,” Megan said with a puppy dogface. She went over and wrapped her arms around him and sang softly, “Darlin’, tell me what to do to make things right, Darlin’, tell me what to do to make things right.”

Nick tried to keep a mad face on, but he couldn’t he smiled and kissed her. “Oh, I am such a sap,” he said.

“I know,” Megan said with a smile. She wiggled her way out of his arms and went back to playing video games. Nick stood there, shaking his head and looking bewildered. Brian, Aaron, and Sam giggled.

“You really ARE a sap, Nick,” Brian said. “If my girlfriend did that to me, I’d take her out back and beat the shit outta her. Especially if she were someone as manipulative as Meg here.”

“I am NOT manipulative,” Megan said. “I might be feisty, and yes, sometimes even a bitch, but I’m not manipulative.”

Sam laughed. “Yeah, that’s true!” Megan hit her with a pillow.

AJ stormed into the room, totally pissed off. “Samantha Jo Kelly! I am so mad right now it isn’t even funny! I CANNOT BELIEVE that you did that to us!”

“Awww…poor thang. I’m sorry, like Meg told Nick, it was too easy,” Sam said with a smile. “Besides, it WAS pretty funny, you gotta admit. Now you’ll have something cool to tell your grand children.”

“Uhhh…NO. It was not funny! I’m going to have to confiscate that camera from Chris,” AJ said.

“I already tried, but he took it down to get it developed. The pictures will be ready soon,” Nick said.

AJ groaned. “I’m gonna kill you guys!”

Everyone slept in late the next morning, especially Sam and Megan, who were tired from their excursions with the boys the night before. They were asleep until 9:30, when Brian woke them up, saying that their breakfast reservations were at 10:00, and that the girls had scheduled appointments with Fatima to learn Aaron’s dance moves.

“So, wait. We have about 20 minutes to get showered and changed and ready for breakfast?” Samantha said, yawning. “Why didn’t you wake us up earlier?”

“Well, we figured that you would need a good night’s rest after last night, so we didn’t wake you up. Besides, you would have yelled at us,” Brian said as he brushed his hair forward. Megan yawned. “Okay,” she replied. She rolled out of bed and looked at the clock. “I hope you know that I’m going to be late,” she said as she plodded into her brother’s room to take a shower. A bunch of the guys were in there, talking, along with Jen and Cassie.

She took a nice, long shower, and when she came out, she found that everyone had left. “Well, that was nice of them,” she said to herself as she walked into her room. She saw that Justin was standing in front of the sliding glass door, looking out over the beach. He turned around.

“Oh, hey, I was waiting for you. The rest of the guys already went to the restaurant,” Justin said, looking at her.

“Oh, okay. I’ll hurry then. You can go on ahead without me,” she said.

“Not, it’s okay, I’ll wait,” Justin replied.

“All right,” Megan said as she went into the bathroom to get changed. When she came out, she smiled at Justin and said, “Ready?”

“Um, yeah, let’s go,” he said. They walked out the door and Megan shut it behind them. She smiled at him, and he smiled back. “So,” he said, “Are you excited to be coming on tour with us?”

“Yup, this is so awesome, and I can’t believe you guys are coming, too,” she said.

“I can’t believe you did that to Nick last night,” Justin said. “Even though I think that he deserved it. I couldn’t have done it better myself.” He laughed to himself.

“Oh, come on now, why do you guys say things about each other like that? You guys should be, like best friends, at least that’s what I think,” Megan said scoldingly.

“Well, he doesn’t like me, so I don’t like him,” Justin replied, looking embarrassed.

“But WHY? There’s no reason for you two to hate each other,” Megan said as they turned the corner towards the restaurant.

Justin sighed. “He always looks down on me, and he thinks I copy off of him. And it’s not just him, either. That’s the way I’m stereotyped. It’s really hard to get out of his shadow, and no matter what I try, I just can’t seem to do it.”

It was Megan’s turn to sigh as they walked through the doors of the restaurant. “Well, I can guarantee that you guys will be buds by the end of this trip. And you have my word on it.”

Justin laughed as they headed to the guy’s table. “You know what? I think I just might have to believe you on that one.”

Megan smiled, but then she caught sight of Nick’s face when he saw Megan and Justin walk in together. “Hey, you guys,” she said, giving Nick a warning look.

“Hey, guys,” Justin said as he took a seat next to Lance and Brian. Megan sat down in between Nick and AJ. “Did you order already?” Justin asked.

“Nope, we actually just sat down, because Chris wanted to pick up the pictures from last night,” Sam said, giggling.

Nick and AJ blushed, and Megan laughed. “Cool, let me see them,” she said. Chris handed her a stack of pictures and Megan looked through them.

“The ones of those two are last,” Chris said.

“Okay,” Megan replied.

“So,” Sam began, “What’s on the agenda for today?”

“All I know is that at one o’clock, you and Meg are meeting with Fatima so that you can learn some dance moves,” Brian said. “But we can do whatever we want.”

“I want to go to MGM and ride the Tower of Terror,” Aaron said.

“Well, little bro, you gotta stay with Meg and Sam and teach them along with Fatima,” Nick said to his younger brother. Aaron pouted. “Besides, it’ll be more fun if we can all go on that together.”

“Also, I think we have to do promotion work while they are with Fatima,” JC said.

“Okay, so, after breakfast, let’s just go back to our rooms and chill until it’s time to get our groove thang on, and you guys can sign autographs and stuff,” Sam said practically.

“Alrighty then, Miss Kelly, I think that’s a good plan,” Nick said. He smiled at her. Megan looked at him suspiciously.

“Then it’s affirmed,” Brian said. “Now about what to order…”
