CMHC takes a holistic approach in addressing and promoting mental health issues and concerns in the Eastman Region. Resources in self-esteem, wellness, stress, grief, and anger management are provided for individuals, family members and the community. This is carried out through workshops, support groups, and a clearinghouse of information.

Eden East strives to respond effectively to the needs of individuals and families who are dealing with mental health issues. The Steinbach offices provides Christian counselling, management of the Community Connections supported living residence in Steinbach, and community development as it relates to enhancing mental health programs in the South Eastman region. One immediate goal is to help develop affordable housing options for individuals dealing with the effects of mental health issues.

The Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB)

The CNIB assists blind and visually impaired persons in coping with problems resulting from failing vision or total blindness. Our objectives are threefold:
*Rehabilitation - improve conditions of the blind;
*Prevention - of blindness through various education programs;

Agape House is an emergency shelter offering safe accommodation and supportive services to women and children who are victims of domestic violence. Agape House provides a 24-hour toll-free crisis line, counselling, resource referrals, and public education.

We offer totally integrated prevocational day programs for mentally challenged adults, helping them to achieve independence and regular employment. The program offers love, encouragement, a 24-hour mobile support team, and opportunity to learn work skills through public services such as a new and used discount store, recycling, Grey Goose Bus Depot, work crew, ironing services, restaurant and window cleaning.
