I was born in Aura November 4th, 1950. Nowadays I live near Turku in Kyrö. My motorcycling hobby started quite young in 1965. My first motorbike was IC 350, which I used to drive around neighbourhood. When I was old enough I drove around with 1952 BSA 500. I have driven street bikes since my first IC.
In the beginning I used to drive in the vicinity of Turku, but my urge to see foreign lands grew bigger. My first foreign destination was Italy in 1974. After that I have driven around Europe and visited almost every European country. In resent years European trips have been fewer because I would rather make a trip to USA. Motorcycle racing has consumed most of my free time so I don't have so much time to spend for motorcycle travelling as I would like to.
I drove my first race in 1975 when I was in B 500 class and I finished 3rd. Since 1975 I have driven races throughout the year and the end is nowhere to be seen.
