Upper Applegate Ministries is a small Church located in the mountains of Southern Oregon in the small community of Ruch Oregon, population 400, give or take a few, and in the small tiny community of "The Narrows Oregon", 30 miles south of Burns Oregon off of hiway 205 going to the Steens Mountains, one of the wonders of the world and also in Couch Missouri down by the Missouri Arkansaw border. We have two services, one in Ruch and a satalite service in Medford, both on Sunday's. Also on Sunday night, at certain times, we have a Hebrew School, which is open to all to attend, for free, we do accept contributions however. We plan in the days ahead to enlarge our Hebrew School to include other Biblical languages such as Greek and Latin. We are actively involved in spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ and leading others to Christ, whether it be with Bible studies, providing people with shelter for the night, witnessing to people on the street and everywhere we go, and providing people with food and work. This is what the Church is supposed to be all about. Jesus said: "I was hungry and you fed me, I was in prison and you visted me, I was a stranger and you took me in." And then Jesus said: "In as much as you did it unto the least of these my bretheren, you did it unto me." Matthew 25: 34-40. Praise God Halleluiah! We are a tax exempt religious charity and we operate entirely on love offerings and private donations from our members. Update!! March,2003 Upper Applegate Ministries has purchased 80 acres of land in eastern Oregon, 30 miles south of Burns next to the Malheur Water Fowl Wildlife Refuge not far from Malheur Lake.
There is a hot spring up the road 6 miles next to the Refuge on BLM land, which I'm sure many will enjoy in the days ahead. Also, the area is a Rock-Hounds Paradise!! Every kind of rock and stone you can imagine!! Also the area is a Bird Watchers Paradise!!! Millions of WaterFowl pour in from all over the world so bring your camera and your binoculars !!! Oh, and there is still more! This is great country for dirt biking and four-wheeling and horseback riding, and last but not least, this is a great place for Mountain Biking.

The Church is in the process of opening up a Christian Retreat, a place where people can go to get away and enjoy themselves. The Church plans on having everything in place by the end of the summer, that is, September of 2003, if all goes as planned. There will be a swimming pool and horse back riding and many other activities to keep people busy.
We need all the help we can get so if there are any volunteers who would like to come out and help please let us know cause we are short handed. The County has allowed us to bring in three mobile homes as well as put up two buildings that are 30 feet wide and forty feet long for agriculture and storage as well as recreation. Update!!! June 29th, 2003!! The 80 acres the Church bought in eastern Oregon was finalized in December of 2002. It was not until June 7th of 2003 that a work crew of volunteers showed up at the new site.
There are only two here now out of the original five that showed up on the 7th of June, Eli, a Christian Monk, who wears a tunic and a turban, and myself. The rest of the party had to return to Ruch Oregon to take care of business there.
The work here has been slow and the going has been slow but steady. We are finally in the process of getting the septic system in and sometime in June we should have the well in. We have one nice used mobile home lined up to bring in and the owner has agreed to sell it to the Church at a bargain price. We now have approximately one third of the land fenced off and two new gates built and put up thanks mostly to the hard work of Brother Eli the Monk. If it wasn't for our Brother Eli the monk, we would not be where we are now, not even close. This Brother is God sent!!
Hopefully God will send some more volunteers out in the days ahead. We desperately need help on the fence building as well as helping to set up and connect the mobile homes we are bringing in to the septic, the power, the water, as well as putting the skirting back up around all three mobile homes as well as a lot of carpentry and work on the roofs. We are also praying and hoping we have enough money to complete the job. Lord willing we will.
Brother Eli needs to go home for a while so I'm praying for some more volunteers to come out and take his place. I also need to go home for a few days, for I am extremely homesick and need a break. I'm in a strange town and a strange County and a very different environment where I know almost no one, so please pray the Lord sends people out to give us a badly needed break. Update!!!!! August 8th, 2003!!

It was June 7th that the caravan rolled onto the new property. It's been two months and two days since we first arrived. The 80 acres now has a new fence around it and two new gates, thanks to the hard work of Brother Eli the Monk. It took him two months out in the blazing heat to pound in the steel fence posts and to put up the barb wire, but he finished the job!!! Also, he built a real nice underground kitchen, which has been a real blessing.
Now that the land has been fenced off, in the days ahead we can bring in horses for horseback riding and have a place for them to graze. Also, since this is open rangeland, we can now keep other people's livestock out.
The dogs we have here are doing well; in fact they love it here. Sometime back, our friend Brian came in with his backhoe and front-end loader and put in a pad and a driveway for the Church's three new mobile homes which we are in the process of bringing in now. We now have one of the Church's three mobile homes in place and are getting ready to hook it up to the septic, the power and the well. The other two should be arriving soon. Also, we finished installing the septic system, one major project out of the way.
We are still in the process of putting in the well. In fact, it would be in by now, except on Wednesday the 6th, the well driller, who was putting in the well, his well drilling rig caught on fire and completely burned down as well as some of the land along the road, so please pray for the owner of the rig, that God brings him another well drilling rig and that he's back in business soon, and also, don't forget to pray for us, because we still need a well.
Eli will be going home soon and I will be here by myself supervising the completion of the new Church facility. Please pray that the Lord sends more volunteers out here to help in the days ahead, and last but not least, pray for me, I'm extremely homesick and I would give anything to go home for a visit.
Eli says hi!!!!! Eli says if you come you have trails through the brush to walk along and explore, which he also calls, "paths of life" and "improved animal trails", domestic and wild, on which he's walked 200 miles so far, mostly to build the fence. There is a great view of the Wildlife Refuge on top of the mountain that the Church owns and is hoping in the days ahead to put some sort of Chapel and a "mountain top retreat" on.
Pray for us, we are having a hard time coping with setbacks. Projects like these don't come together easy, it takes a lot of hard work and determination and dedication to make something like this happen. It's time for me to sign off now. Update!!! 10/16/2003!!!
Miracles Do Happen !!! It was June 7th, 2003 that our volunteer team rolled into The Narrows Oregon, and we started trying to get organized. We let our dogs out of the motor home so we could chain them up and water and feed them and give them a chance to run around a bit. But one of our dogs, named Maxwell, somehow became disoriented with his new surroundings and took off down a rabbit trail and became lost.
We looked everywhere and couldn't find a trace of him. We hung up signs and talked to people everywhere. We advertised on the local radio station and in the local newspaper and came up with nothing. We checked the local pound and came up empty.
It was real depressing. Almost everyone we talked to told us the same thing, "the coyotes most likely got him". I was real bummed out and real sad over the whole thing. Only one person, Brian Richardson, the person we hired to help put the facility together said it was highly unlikely the coyotes or the cougars got him, that he most likely survived, that there was plenty of water holes in the refuge and plenty of food if he knew how to hunt.
It turned out that Brian was the only one out of the whole bunch that was right. It was August 17th, 70 days later, I was out loading up my car to take Eli somewhere that I looked up the road and saw a black dog in the distance, standing in the road, not sure of where he was. I thought one of the other dogs got loose, but when I checked on them they where all accounted for. I started thinking, no, it couldn't be, could it? No way !!! He's been gone too long, it must be a stray, so I walked up the road where he was standing and the closer I got the more it started to look like old Max!! When I got right up to him and looked at him and saw the collar he was wearing I realized it was Maxwell!!!!!!! I almost started crying. I stooped down and gave him a big hug.
He was real happy to be back home, and not only that, but his mother and his grandmother were both glad to see him again and not only that but he was real glad to see them again. He stayed glued to the place, he was glad to be back home. He wasn't real skinny and he wasn't real fat, so we were wondering what he had ate the whole time he was out in the Refuge. Three days later he was in front of the motor home tearing something to pieces and when we went to see what it was, it turned out to be a Jack rabbit !!!!!!!!!!
I turned and looked at Eli and said, "Now I know what he ate the whole time he was gone"!!!!
Maxwell is doing good now. Miracles do happen, and I give God the Credit, the Honor the Glory and the Praise for bringing Maxwell home and taking care of him the whole time he was gone. Miracles Do Happen!!!

We are making progress here, slowly but surely. All three mobile homes are in now. The well is in now, and we were real blessed to hit between 11 and 15 gallons a minute of ice cold spring water.
There is still an enormous amount of work to do ahead of us. We are running short on funds and the reason why is because we have suffered some setbacks along the way. The well rig caught on fire and burned down and it cost us dearly. Other things went wrong as well. Things we had no idea would happen happened. Oh well, that's life. We have had to learn to take the good with the bad, after all, the scripture says, "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose". Romans: 8:28.
I will try and keep everyone posted in the days ahead on what's happening and on the progress that we are making. We need volunteers to come out and stay and help work. I hope you are all doing well and things are going your way. No matter how things are going right now try and stay focused on the Lord and what it is that he wants each and everyone of us to do. This is why the Apostle Paul said: "For me to live is Christ and to die is gain". Philippians 1:21
Paul was looking at the bigger picture, the one called "eternity". Where are you going to spend eternity? Every true spirit filled Christian beleiver can answer that question without even thinking about it by saying, "with the Lord Jesus Messiah, thats who". The scripture says, "For what is your life? It is even a "Vapor", that appeareth for a little time, and then it vanisheth away." James, 4:14 Were only here for a short time, and then begins eternity. When we leave this world as we know it now, we will spend eternity with Jesus. Don't forget, Jesus said, "Enter in at the narrow gate; for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to desturction, and many there be that go in that way; Because narrow is the gate, and hard is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it." Matthew, 7: 13,14. Jesus is the Gate. Jesus is the door. Jesus is also the way, and hard is the way. This is the meaning of the scripture: "If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and fololow me". Matthew 16:24. Praise God if you're on the "Straight and Narrow". Its only because of what Jesus did back in 33 A.D. that we can even get on the "Straight and Narrow". If it hadn't been for what Jesus did back in 33 A.D. on the "Cross", we would all be lost and we would have no hope. But thanks to what Jesus did we now have life and we have it more abundantly just like the Savior said we would.

Update !!!!!!!! November 13th, 2003:
Things are moving slowly. Its ten degrees out at night sometimes and its in the thirties and forties during the day. Eli the Monk went back home to take care of some business he had. Hopefully, he will be back soon. There's one person here at the facility now. Not only are we short on funds but we're short on people. All three mobile homes are in now, two are in the process of being set up and leveled off. The pump house is 2/3 done, thanks to the hard work of Eli the Monk and our Brother Wolf Creek Jim from Wolf Creek Oregon.
We're still working on getting the power turned on, the well connected to the pump house and the trailers, and the septic systems hooked up, as well as the skirtings put back up around all three of the homes. Some of the trees have been planted but there are more to plant. We're looking for used lumber so any one in Harney County or anywhere else who has any good used lumber they want to donate don't hesitate to give us a call.
Also, we need fencing, steel fence posts and barb wire, as well as other types of fencing.
We want to thank the people who have helped us since we have been here. We would like to thank the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Burns Oregon for all the help and support they have given us. Also, we would like to thank Curt and Jett Blackburn for all the help they have given us, letting us use their utility trailer so we could help move the mobile homes and get them set up. We would also like to thank Bill Gadbury of Burns for all the help he has given us. It's greatly appreciated. We would also like to thank the neighbors for the use of their hay truck so we could move things around on the property. It was greatly appreciated. We would like to thank James of Hines for all his support and help. We would like to thank Richard and his wife Anne for volunteering to come out and work on the mobile homes and the pump house, as well as volunteering his carpentry skills at no charge.
Also, we would like to thank "Tommy Moses" of Dallas Texas for his recent support, it helped us greatly.

Update !!!! January 14th, 2004 !!! To those of you are wondering what happened to our web site, well, the whole thing somehow got erased and we are in the process of putting it all back together again. Everything we had written for December and January is gone, but we are trying to piece it all back together again. We want to thank all of you for your support and encouragement and are looking forward to meeting all of you when you come out to stay with us. Please pray for us, because we are going through hard times and can use what ever help we can get. The weather is bad right now and it is very cold but progress is still being made at a slow pace. Work is getting done. We want to thank our Brother Ziggy and his friends from Virginia for all their support and encouragement. Its been greatly appreciated. We want to thank our Brother Jason from Spokane Washington for his support and encouragement. Pray for Brother Jason for he has imformed us that some of the Spokane Police are harrassing innocent people just for walking down the Street with no "probable cause or reasonable suspicion", and I beleive him cause it has happened to me in my life time. The "Roman Soldiers" who acted as the "Police" in Jesus' day came up to John The Baptist and demanded of him, saying, "and what shall we do? And he [John] said unto them, "Do violence to no man, neither accuse any falsely; and be content with your wages". Luke 3:14 Unfortunately, just like the Police in Jesus day were victimizing innocent people and preying on the weak and defenseless, [mainly the poor, because, for the most part, they are the defenceless and the weak, and they make an inviting target cause they have no resources to fight back with], a lot of the Police today as well as others who are in a position of Power are still doing the same thing . Sad but "true". And why is this? The God of Israel said: Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him [people in a position of Power]: For the Lord seeth not as man [Judges, Cops and Juries] seeth; For man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the "heart". 1st Samuel, 16:7 The Police are like everybody else; they're like the Clergy, the Politicians, the Judges, and everybody else thats in a position of power. They all have one thing in common, they all have to draw from the human race, and as long as they have to draw from the human race, they will always have their share of unrighteous and dishonest people working for them. Is this something new? No its not. Are things different today than they were back in 33 a.d.? Not at all ! Things are pretty much the same today as they were back in Jesus' day. Just as some of the Police in Jesus day were being dishonest and harrassing innocent people, so are some of the Police in 2004 doing the same exact thing today. Some things never change, thats why Solomon, the wisest man in the world said: "The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done, is that which shall be done; and there is no new thing under the sun. Is there any thing whereof it may be said, See, this is new? It hath been already of old time, which was before us". Ecclesiastes 1:9-10 So what was going on in Noahs day was going on in Solomons day and what was going on in Solomons day was still going on in Jesus day. And what was going on in Jesus day is still going on today. Just like some of the Roman soldiers[the Police] back in Jesus day were victimizing innocent people some of them are still doing it today. "And the soldiers[also the Police]likewise demanded of him, And what shall we do? And he[John] said unto them, Do violence to no man, neither accuse any falsely; and be content with your wages." Luke 3:14. The reason why John told them this is because thats what a lot of them were doing, stopping people for no reason, robbing them of their possessions, assualting them, falsly accusing them of crimes they never committed and extorting money out of them, dragging them in front of Judges and having them thrown in prison for crimes they never committed. They were notorious for this sort of behavior and most of the common people back then were afraid of them because they abused their power and they abused it badly. Thats why the "God of Israel" commanded his people saying: "Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor." Exodus 20:16 John the Baptist knew this when he said what he said to them. He also knew that the God of Israel "commanded" his people saying:"Thou shalt not raise a false report: Put not thy hand with the wicked to be an unrighteous witness". Exodus: 23:1 God only knows how many thousands of times this goes on everyday in our Country! So many times I've watched Police Officers and C.S.D. workers get up in front of Judges and lie to them and tell them things that never happened, knowing full well that the "corrupt" and "dishonest" Judge would take their word for it. C.S.D. workers are famous for "lying" in court!!! They get up in front of the Judge and "lie" to the Judge saying, "They said we could have the kids", and the Judges go along with it even though the people getting their kids ripped off deny ever having told C.S.D. this, and Ive watched this happen numerous times, and the reason why these corrupt dishonest C.S.D. workers lie to the Judges and make things up as they go along, is because they already know before they ever go into that Courtroom that all they have to do to get what they want[which is your kids] is to lie to the Judge and he will take C.S.Ds word over your word. One "dishonest" Judge said after a C.S.D. worker lied to her telling her the Father said they could have the kid when he told them the exact opposite, that he wanted his kid back: "He said we could have her", and the "corrupt" Judge said:" Thats good enough for me!!! And she gave C.S.D. his little girl and all they had to do to get her was to lie to the Judge and just like that he lost his little girl, and not only that, it goes on everyday all over the United States. These Judges rubber stamp everything these CSD workers tell them no matter how untrue it is. God only knows how many kids have been stolen because some dishonest Cop or some dishonest C.S.D. worker got up and lied to a Judge and he or she took their word for it. We need to Pray for the Police, and everyone else in a position of power, that they "repent" and find Jesus and get converted and become born-again!!!! God loves them too!! Jesus died for them just like he died for each and evryone of us. Praise God !!!

Brothers and Sisters, were going through hard times finacially. In fact this is the worst its ever been. Were so low on funds right now we dont have enough to finnish the project so if there is anything you can do to help us in Jesus Name it would be greatly appreciated and we always give God the Glory, the Praise, the Honor and the Credit for anything that he sends our way and remember no love offering is too small, every little bit helps a little bit and no ammount is too small, it will all go a very long ways. Latest Update !!!!!! January 27th,2004. Things are moving slowly, but steady. A volunteer from Burns named Charlie showed up last weekend and did some badly needed carpet work as well as helped out with some badly needed work on one of the Mobile Homes. Its snowing right now and its making it hard to get in and out. We are having financial problems as you all know but we have faith that things will somehow work out. The good news is that more people from Burns have volunteered to come out and help with the project in the days ahead. Praise God. Jesus said: "And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you." Luke 11:9 Praise God for everything !!! We want to thank some of the good folks in Burns for all of the wonderfull help they have given us. The Texaco Station in Burns has been absolutely wonderfull to us since we have been here. They kept us supplied with water the whole time weve been here. One of the employees there fixed the broken window in the Church's car cause he knew we didn't have the money to fix it. It was greatly appreciated. The same employee donated a bunch of 4 by 8 sheets of particle board to the Church and now all we have to do is figure out how to get it there. Praise God. We would also like to thank Bear Automotive for all the help he has given us. Our car was breaking down and needed repairs and he fixed it for free out of the kindness of his heart. He knew we were broke and didn't have the money. It was greatly appreciated. We know some of you are coming out in the days ahead, and we want to remind you that when you come out please if you can, bring as much building supplies with you as you can, such as wood, poles, metal roofing, cement blocks, a working chain saw, a pick up truck, steel fence posts, wooden fencing material, dog houses, fencing of any kind, and what ever you can think of. Oh, and by the way, we need Trees, Populars, Elms, and whatever else you can come up with. We have some already planted, but we need more, so please help us out in this department if you can, it would be greatly appreciated. Things are going slow, but steady, and we will update the pictures in the days ahead so you can see the progress we have made. Update March 10th, 2004!!!!! We just went through one heck of a winter. Harney County got the most snow and rain it has seen in 11 years which is ok cause the draught is over for now at least. The rivers are running like they used to run and the lakes are all filling back up again as well as all the reservors. The Refuge has a lot more water than before and the Water Fowl are coming in from everywhere. Lakes are starting to form everywhere out in the Refuge as well as off the Refuge. Praise God for all the rain and snow. The weather is absolutely beautiful right now so if you are thinking of coming out now would be a good time to do so. Right now we need help with tree planting and if you have any trees you could bring out please do so. We still have a lot of fencing to do so anyone who can help out in that department would be a real blessing. We need to get the headquarters fenced off as soon as possible so our Brother Wolfcreek Jim from Wolfcreek Oregon can bring the horses out so the people showing up in the days ahead can go horseback riding and don't forget this is great mountain biking country.
We want to thank Ziggy and his wife Debbie from Rustburg Virginia for the financial help they have given us. It was a real blessing, and it was greatly appreciated. They have been so much help. Latest Update!!!!! April 14th, 2004!!! Things are moving slowly but steady. Progress is being made. We are awaiting the return of our Brother Eli the Monk. His energy and his skill at putting things together are greatly missed so we pray that he returns soon. We dont have a lot to say right now except we are real busy trying to get the facility up and going. We still have an enormous amount of work to do so if you are in the area and can vollunteer your services it will be greatly appreciated. Gods Grace is sufficient. Latest Update!!!! May 12th 2004 Praise God thank you Jesus !!! Our Brother Eli the Monk is back!! He's was gone for eight months and now he is back. His work was greatly missed and now that he is back things will start rolling again big time. We have a lot of work left to do and we expect more people to start showing up around June or so. We need all the help we can get. We are having a real hard time right now financialy as usual so what ever you[members] can do to help us out would be greatly appreciated. We are getting ready to bring the power in "Lord willing" and that will help out tremendously. Two of the mobile homes are zoned commercial and the State Inspector has notified us that we cannot do any of the work on either one of them, that we have to hire a licensed contractor from the State of Oregon to do all the work and we do not have the money to hire one so we are being forced to sell two of the mobile homes and use the money to finnish the rest of the project. You can thank the Labor Unions and the Democrats for this. Their the ones who got legislation passed that if you are a non-residential non profit religous charity you cant do any of the work yourself. You have to hire licensed contractors to do it all for you and of course they want thousands and thousands to do it and if you can't line their pockets with what they demand then you're out of buisness!!!! This is why our Lord told us: "The Love of money is the root of all evil"[1st Timothy 6:10]. And no one loves taking your money more than the Democrats and the Unions do. This will leave us with one residential mobile home to use as our meeting place and as a headquarters. Hopefully we will still be able to put up one building 30 feet wide and 40 feet long for storage and whatever else. Its a real bummer that this happened to us but life goes on and besides the Word says, "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them that are the called according to his purpose"[Romans 8:28] Please pray for us cause we need all the prayer we can get right now. Latest Update!!! May 20th!!! 2004!!! Breaking News!!! Eli the Monk is back !!!! Praise God Halleluyahh!!! Thank you Jesus!!! An "answered" prayer indeed. With his energy back in play again things are starting to take off again!! Eli wants to say hi to everyone. Eli needs a ride to the gathering this Summer in N. Ca. so if any of the family is passing through Eastern Oregon and can pick him up and take him there it would be greatly appreciated. And not only that but if anyone can bring him back here to the Community where he is staying, someone who plans on coming out here anyway after the gathering that also would be greatly appreciated. We hope to have the project completed sometime this summer although we have decided because of finances to go residential instead of commercial. Either way its all in Gods hands and he gets the Glory no matter what. We may stay, we may move on, even into Idaho, we just dont know, either way the Ministry will stay intact. Theres too many people in it for it not to. There's a lot of "garbage" and "false teachings" going on in the Church these days. The "sacraligous" far left is teaching you dont have to "beleive" in Jesus to be saved. That Salvation is connected with works. Not "beleiving" in Jesus and if you "beleive" that Salvation is connected to "beleiving" in and "knowing" Jesus then you are an "extremest" and you are religously "intolerent". Especially if you are a Christian. The sick part of all of this is their falsely claiming Jesus taught you dont have to "beleive" in him or "know" him to be saved. What a lie !!! Jesus said:"Many will say to me in that day, Lord, lord, Have we not prophesied in thy name? And in thy name cast out demons? And in thy name done many wonderful works? And I will profess unto them, I never "knew" you; Depart from me, ye that work iniquity." Matthew 7:22,23. Jesus said: "I am the way, the truth and the life; no man cometh unto the Father except by me"[John 14:6] This is the meaning of the scripture: "Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep. All that ever came before me[Buddah, Hindu, Hare Chrishna ect]are thrives and robbers; but the sheep[the true beleivers]did not hear them."[John 10:7-8] Thats why Jesus said:" I am the ressurection and the life, If a man "believeth" in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live". The idea that you can "work" your way into the Kingdom of Heaven, well, nothing could be further from the Truth. Thats why Jesus, speaking through his Apostle Paul said:"By Grace are ye saved through faith;[in Jesus] and that not of yourselves,[its not because of anything you did] it is the gift of God, Not of works, lest any man should boast".Ephesians 2:8,9, Salvation is not based on a "merrit system", where you work your way into the Kingdom. If you dont know Jesus, then he doesnt know you. In order for Jesus to know you, you have to know him. Thats why Jesus, speaking through the Apostle James said: " Yea, a man may say, thou hast faith, and I have works; show me thy faith without thy works, and I will show thee my faith by my works". James ch 2:18 Faith in Jesus produces works, these are called, "works by faith[in Jesus]". The anti Christian "sacriligous far left" falsely accuses Christians of being "religously intolerent" because they refer to the words of Jesus where he said, "I am the way, the Truth, and the Life; no man cometh unto the Father but by me." JOHN 14:6, and not only that, they claim Jesus wasn't realy saying you couldnt get to the Father except by him, that this has all been misinterpreted, and that Jesus realy meant that all you have to do to get to the Father is feed the hungry, cloth the naked, take care of the sick and visit people in prison and on the Judgement day Jesus will look at you and say,"In as much as you did it to the least of these my brethren, you did it unto me", and nothing could be further from the Truth!!! This is Satan using his people[anti- Christians] to spread more of his "lies" and more of his "false doctrines" to lead people astray. Thats why Jesus, speaking through his "chosen vessle", the Aposle Paul said," Therefore being justified by faith[faith in Jesus],we have peace with God "through" our Lord Jesus Christ[not around but "through"], by whom also[e.g.Jesus]we have access by "faith"[in Jesus]into this grace in which we stand and rejoice in the "hope"[salvation,immortality,eternal life] of the Glory of God". Romans,ch 5:1,2 Thats why Jesus told his Apostles:" The works that I do, greater works than these will you do." And if you study the scriptures, you will find its true, the Apostles did do the works that Jesus did, and greater works than these did they do. It was because of their "faith" in Jesus that they did the works that Jesus did. This is the meaning of the scripture:" If ye have faith[in Jesus]as a mustard seed,ye shall say unto this mountain, remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you." Matthew:17:20 Jesus said:" I am the way, the Truth and the Life, no man cometh unto the Father but by me" John ch 14:6, because there is no other way to reach the Father except through him. A lot of people dont beleive him, so they try and "twist" and "blaspheme" what he said to change the meaning and last, but not least, to suit their own evil, heretical, and anti Christian reprobate purpose. Don't beleive all the "lies" out there, that Jesus didn't realy mean what he said, because he did. He meant every word of it. Thats why scripture says,"And the "word" was made flesh, and dwelt among us" JOHN:1:14 Satan has his people out there, working for him full time, spreading every kind of lie you can possibly immagine. Thats why Jesus told us: "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheeps clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves". Matthew:7:15 They are out there everywhere spreading there "false doctrines" and their "heresies", putting words in Jesus's mouth that he never spoke, just like he said they would. The "Apostle Peter" warned his people that this would happen in the last days saying: "But there were false Prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who secretly shall bring in "damnable heresies", even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction". 2 Peter2:1 And this is what they are doing. It was prophesied that in the end days Satan would set up a, "end days one world false Church" and thats exactly what he's doing, and he's using these people[anti-Christians] to do it. Update !!! September 3rd, 2004 We are real sorry for not posting a new update about what has been happening here in Eastern Oregon. Were going through hard times but we are going to make it no matter what because we beleive and trust in Jesus. We want to thank the Church vollunteers that have come out and are helping us with the work that needs to be done here so we can sell the place and move on to wherever the Lord wants to lead us. Praise God for his help. Pray for our Service men and women over in Irac that they all make it home ok. Pray for their families and their loved ones that they have been separated from because of their having to go to Irac and Afganistan. Jesus died for them too. He loves us all equally. There is one thing we do want to clear up here so there is no mis-understanding. We are "Patriotic" here and we support our troops in Afganistan and in Irac, and we appreciate the job they are doing in the war on terrorism by taking the fight to the terrorists themselves, and we know there are those who do not share our oppinion and that is their right, but none the less we back our military 100% in the job they are doing and we pray they are victorious and that they win every battle the have with the terrorists over in Irac and in Afganistan, and if anyone has a problem with our position, and a lot of people do, their going to have to live with it because we refuse to budge one inch when it comes to "supporting" our country in a time of war. And once again, we are very greatful for the "Church Vollunteers" who have come out to help us with the work we need to do so we can move on and spread the Gospel in new places. Praise God. We want to thank all the wonderfull people we have met here in Harney County Oregon for all the help and kindness they have shown us since we have been here. Praise God. We got here June 7th 2003 and the day we got here we were "persecuted" and "falsely accused" and "badly harrassed", but it was only by a few people and not by the majority. Most of the people here have been real nice to us and we are very grateful to them all, especially the 7th Day Adventist Church in Burns. Jesus said: "If they persecuted me, they will persecute you" Jesus said: "The servant is not above his master, if they hate you, remember they hated me first". Jesus said: "Rejoice when men persecute you and speak all manner of evil against you falsely for my names sake, for so persecuted they the Prophets before you, great is your reward in heaven." Praise God. Pray for everyone in a position of power, especialy the Police and the Judges, that they use honest and righteous judgement and that they dont "abuse" their power by down trodding the weak, the poor, the defenceless and the innocent, which is what happens so much of the time, and you will find that this very same thing is taught in the "scriptures" over and over, and yet, like times past, its still going on today, right here in Eastern Oregon its going on, and not only here, but all over the Country. Power "corrupts" !! It always has and it always will. History conclusively proves that power corrupts when its placed in the hands of the wrong people. And again, "pray" for those in a position of power, that they dont become "corrupted" by the "power" invested in them, that they use it "honestly" and "righteously" as our Lord commanded. Remember, Jesus "died" for them too. God Bless you all and please remember to pray for us because we are still having a hard time, but no matter how hard it gets, we will always have Jesus on the "Throne" no matter what. There are still a few people here in Harney County, Eastern Oregon who are "persecuting" us and "speaking all manner of evil against us falsely" simply because were Christians and they don't like the way we look. Even certain "law enforcement officials" here in Eastern Oregon are "persecuting" us and "harrassing" us simply because they don't like the way some of us look, and sometimes it can get real "scary". Certain law enforcement officials here are "profiling" people because of how they dress and how they look. In other words, they dont like the way some of us look, and because they dont like the way some of us look and dress, they don't like us, and because they don't like us, they've "badly" and "illegaly" abused their power thats been given them by "harrassing" us and "threatening" us without any "probable cause" or "reasonable suspicion" whatsoever. Unfortunately, a lot of people who are "prejudice" and "bigoted" and who like to "profile" people have been given a "badge", a "uniform" and a "gun", and so we need to pray for these people that God changes their heart. Update, October 28th, 2004 !!! Brother Elie the Monk called several days ago from South Western Oregon and said to say hi to you all, especialy the Brothers and Sisters at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Burns Oregon. We're making progress here at the property in Eastern Oregon, thanks to our volunteers who have come out from all over the Country to help us in a time of dire need. Praise God. We want to thank Meadowman[Dave]from North Carolina, and Ike from Bakersfield California,and Robert from Medford Oregon, as well as our Brother Ziggy from Rustburg Virginia, who is supposed to be coming out sometime around the first of November. It appears the Church has sold the property here in Eastern Oregon and will be purchasing a new piece of property in Southern Missouri which will serve as a new headquarters for the Church. This includes a Christian Retreat, a Biblical Hebrew School, a Drug and Alchohol Rehabilitation Center, Marriage Counselling Services, a homeless shelter, and free food for the hungry, and last but not least, a place where Born Again Christians can come together and fellowship with one another. Praise God. Also, we were blessed to have over 100 people come through here this summer, some passing through, some wanting to stay and help the Church, others were homeless and needed a place to stay, and others came here to get off of alchohol and drugs, and I must say, our drug and alchohol program has had a 90 percent success rate. 90 percent of the people who got clean and sober and drug free here stayed that way. Praise God. I myself have 6 and one half years sobriety, thanks to Jesus intervening in my behalf and breaking the hold that alchohol had on me. After all, Jesus said :" He who the Son has set free is free indeed". I am free and I am free indeed. Praise God. We have much work ahead of us in the days ahead, and we can use all the help we can get, both financialy as well as physical labor. We will be caravaning it in the weeks ahead from Eastern Oregon down to So Missouri so any of the Brothers and Sisters who would like to join the caravan and help out along the way are more than welcome, and are invited to stay with the Community once it arrives in Southern Missouri. We need licensed drivers, so please help if you can. Once upon arriving in Mossiouri, we will need all kinds of help getting settled in. Praise God for everything. Update!!! December 17th 2004 We are now at our new home in Southern Missouri, 14 miles outside of Thayer near the Arkansas border. We have 40 acres of beautiful land with one nice mobile home and a place already put together to bring in another one plus a metal shop building and a rather large barn. The land is beautiful. We brought a lot of building supplies with us and we need skilled carpenters to come out and help us with the building. We need to get up a green house before spring so we are looking for someone that knows how to do that. We had a real hard time getting here but with the Lords help we made it. Its just me and Ike right now, but our Brother Michael Two Feathers from Camdenton Missouri is on his way out as well as our Sister SilverSpirit, so things should be moving along in the days ahead. We are deeply indebted to our Brother Dale Fry from Burns Oregon for driving our U-Haul truck here from Burns Oregon and we pray that everything went ok for him. We wnat to thank Lazor Mike, a Real Estate agent who has a resort at Lake of the Osarks for all the help he gave us. He gave our Church a place to stay for several days and he helped us in finding a new home for our Church. We are greatly indebted to him for all his help and we encourage anyone looking for property in Southern Missouri to go through Lazor Mike to find it, cause he will work real hard for you in finding what it is that you need. January 3rd, 2005: We're here at the new home now here in Southern Missouri, 18 miles outside of Thayer, in Oregon County, in the beautiful Osarks!!! We are slowly making progress getting settled in. We had a hard time getting here from Eastern Oregon. We had to stop off at Camdenton for a week before we could get back on the road and head on down here to our new home and by the time we did we were totaly exhausted and worn out to the max. Getting our animals here was so much work but we did, with mainly the help of Robert and Ike. We had to camp out after we bought the land because there were tenants living in the mobile home and they will be moving tommorow to their new home, so praise God because tommorow we will take full possession of the property and the mobile home will serve temporarily as our Church headquarters and our office. We're extremely short on funds right now, and if God lays it on anyone's[members only] heart to kick us a few dollars we would realy appreciate it. We will very much be in need of laborors and carpenters in the days ahead, and whatever building supplies anyone could donate and bring with them in the days ahead, would be a real blessing. We want very much to bring in another mobile home and to build cabins up in the woods. We are also drawing up plans to convert the Barn into a Church building and a meeting hall and a gathering place, and will need all the help we can get in doing it. Right now we are trying to tie up loose ends if you know what I mean. The land is beautiful and has really nice meadows and ponds. It will make a wonderful retreat and learning center in the days ahead. It will also make a great gathering spot in the upcoming days. Our phone number is only good until Jan 8th. March 15th, 2005!!!! Well Spring is almost here and the weather is starting to get warmer. Its a beautiful day today. Were making progress here slowly but surely. Our Brother John Maser is on his way back from Texas. Please pray for John, he got arrested for riding a freight train and charged with trespassing and thrown in the slammer for 30 days. It shows you just how far down the path of anarchy our criminal justice system has slid. Two new Brothers have shown up to help with the work here. Brian and Ned are their names. Pray for them, they both are looking for work to help improve their financial situation. Were getting things done around here little by little. We have only been here since December 15th 2004 and little by little the place is starting to come together. We have a lot more work to do. Thats why were asking all of you, when you come out please bring whatever used building supplies with you that you can. One thing we need is exterior house paint for the out buildings. Were trying to bring in another mobile home to create more room for more people, and everything is already there, the pad, the well, the power pole and the septic hookup. Were trying to convert the barn into a Church building and a community meeting center and that can only get done when volunteer carpenters show up. Also, we need fence builders. If anyone has any used steel fence posts laying around or you know were there are some please bring them with you cause we need them real bad. We also need fencing material. Another thing we need real bad is someone with plumbing skills. That would be very helpful indeed. Our financial situation here right now is really bad. Were pretty much broke. All our money went to buy the place, the 42.8 acres and the buildings on it. We have a power pole thats getting ready to come down, and the power company wants $160.00 to replace it, but with some good carpenters we could temporarily brace it. Welcome to Missouri. We have everything else taken care. The electrical has been changed over into the Churchs name along with the phone. Most of the loose ends have been tied up since leaving Eastern Oregon. We want to thank all the people who have helped us since we have been here. We want to thank "Lookingheart" for all the help he has given us. We wouldn't be where we are if it hadn't been for him. April 9th, 2005 What a beautiful day today. Praise God. Things are moving along here at the land. Were getting a lot of emails from people wanting to come out this summer and help and to be part of whats happening here. People have been comming and going in small numbers but their work and contributions have been more than appreciated. We have been here for about four months now and we have managed to get a lot accomplised in that short amount of time. Were starting to make friends with some of the locals around here and what a blessing that has been. When we got here we knew no one except the real estate agent that sold us the place. Our Brother Ziggy from Virginia has done an excellent job in staying in touch with us since he has been gone. He was real faithful when he was with us and has been so since he has been gone. He was real instumental in getting us out here. He was the one who organised the inside of the U-Haul truck while everybody else helped load it. What a job that was. Lookingheart from welcomehere.org came out and looked at the property for the first time and liked it. He has help us out so much. If it hadn't been for him we would not be where we are now. Our car was broke down and he worked on it for free. Jesus said:" Freely you have received so freely give" and thats exactly what he did for us. Praise God. Hopefuly we will be able to have that "fundraiser" in the fall for what he is trying to do as well as for the "Rainbow Guide" and our own "Community" as well. We are getting a lot of emails from people who are having trouble with everything under the sun, including problems with alchohol, drugs, marriages going sour, people wanting to commit suicide cause they cant handle life anymore on life's terms, and people suffering from guilt, because of things they did in their past. Everyone of those emails gets answered! And believe me, its not easy. Jesus died on the cross for every sin ever commited, past, present and future, and he's more than willing to forgive us for anything we ever did. All he wants us to do is to put our trust in him and to beleive in him and to quit living a life of sin and everything we ever did or ever will do gets washed away like it never even happened, providing we turn our lives over to the care and trust of Jesus Messiah. Jesus wants to free us from the guilt of all past sins whatever they may be and will if we only ask him with a pure and honest heart. He does the rest. All we have to do is beleive and have faith that he is who he says he is, and that he will give us what he said he would give us. Jesus wants to set us free from all our past sins, and guilt, and addictions whatever thay may be, and he will if we only ask him and believe. This is why Jesus said: "If the Son, therefore, shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed." John, 8:36 [New Testament] This is why Jesus said:"I am the ressurection, and the life; he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live". John 11:25[New Testament] We were all "dead" in our tresspasses and sins before we turned our lives over to Jesus Messiah, with no exceptions, absolutely none. The anti Christians out there will accuse us of being hypocrites because we still sin from time to time and because were not perfect, but Jesus never said we would become perfect just because we beleive in him and except him as our Lord and Savior. Its because were not perfect and that we are sinners that we need Jesus as our Savior because without him there is no forgiveness of sins. He sacrificed himself for our sins and because he offered himself up as a sacrifice for our sins were forgiven provided we except the sacrifice he made in our behalf by excepting him as our Lord and Savior and by putting all our trust and faith and hope in him and in doing so we become perfected on a daily basis as we strip off the old man and put on the new man through the Baptism of the Holy Spirit and it is through this Spirit Baptism that we become born again, not of the flesh but of the Spirit. We become a brand new person. This is the meaning of the scripture: "Therfore, if any man be in Christ[born again] he is a new creation; old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." 2nd Corinthians 5:17 If it hadnt been for what Jesus did back at Calvary in 33 A.D. nothing else would even matter. We would all be lost, with no hope. Absolutely none. Jesus said:"Unless a man be born again[baptized in the Holy Ghost] he cannot see the kingdom of heaven." John, 3:3 "That which is born of the flesh is flesh and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit." John 3:6 Jesus said: "Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the Kingdom of God". John, 3:5 New Testament Praise God!!!! Jesus said: "You must be born of the Angel of water, the Angel of sun, and the Angel of air. Jesus said: "These three Angels are Brothers, and except a man be born of these three Angels, he cannot enter the Kingdom of heaven". [The Gospel of the Essenes, Book One] Then comes the "baptism" of the Holy Spirit, also called by Jesus the "conforter". And it is this Spirit baptism that "seals" us unto the day of redemption. This first happened on the day of Pentecost in the book of Acts. The Apostles and the rest of the deciples and believers were gathered together in prayer when the Holy Spirit decended on them all in the form of "cloven tounges of fire". It was here that the Apostles received power from on high. This is why the scripture says" The twelve Apostles had "great" power", and with this great power from on high they all went out and did the works that Jesus had done before them. This is the meaning of the scripture: "He that beleiveth on me, the works that I do shall he do also;and greater works than thses shall he do, because I go unto my Father". John, 14:12 This is why they raised the dead and healed the blind and healed lepers and every other sort of disease known to man. The Apostles and the other Spirit filled believers worked mighty signs and wonders throughout the land. This is the meaning of the scripture: "A long time, therefore, abode they[Paul and Barnabas] speaking boldly in the Lord, who gave testimony unto the word, of his grace, and granted signs and wonders to be done by their hands." Breaking News!!!!! April 20th 2005!!!! Im Coming Home!!!!!!! I will have been gone two years Starting June 5th 2005. It was the 5th of June 2003 the caravan pulled out of the Applegate Mountains of Southwestern Oregon and headed to Eastern Oregon to open up a new retreat center and a getaway for people trying to get out of Babylon. Things would have worked out there as far as what we were tring to do, but the "State Inspectors" stepped in and said we couldn't do any of the work our selves becuase we were not private residential and because we were not private residential but we were a "non profit religous charity" we had to hire "licensed union contractors" to do all the work for us which would have cost tens of thousands of dollars which we didn't have so thanks to the unions and the State of Oregon we were forced to shut down and sell the place and move on. I spent 18 months there trying to hold down the fort and keep things together. I was never supposed to be gone more than six months but the way things worked out I've been gone for almost two years now and it hasn't been easy, in fact its been real hard on me, physicaly, emotionaly, and spiritualy. The 18 months I spent in Eastern Oregon was some of the hardest and most difficult years of my life. I spent the winter of 2003 and 2004 on the Churchs 80 acres next to the Wildlife Refuge 30 miles south of the nearest town out in the middle of nowhere in a 20ft motor home in three feet of snow trying to take care of the dogs in a frozen tundra and its only by the grace of God I survived that whole ordeal. If it hadn't been for the dogs and their relying on me and believing in me and trusting in me I would have left, but for the dogs sake, I stayed. I've always had a soft spot for dogs. For over a month straight it stayed at five below zero at night and ten to fifteen degrees during the day. I learned what "hardship" and "tribulation" was all about that winter I spent there, and now I know what the "Apostle Paul" meant when he said:"We were pressed out of measure, above strengh, inasmuch that we despaired even of life." 2nd Corinthians 1:8 when he wound up "shipwrecked" on an island in the Mediteranian cause thats exactly what happened to me that winter, I wound up "shipwrecked" out in the middle of nowhere in Eastern Oregon and it finnaly got so bad that I had reached a point where "I had begun to despair even of life itself" and if it hadnt been for friends and loved ones giving me encouragement and prayer I wouldn't have been able to hang on that winter. And then summer finnaly came around and new people started showing up, and we were able to fix the place up enough to where we were able to sell it in the fall and move on to our new home here in Southern Missouri in the Osarks, thanks to Steve Duncan and the hard work of Lazer Mike who sells real estate and has a resort at Lake of the Osarks in Camdenton Missouri. Ive been real "homesick" for a long time now and its gotten worse as time goes on. Now I know how the "Apostles" felt being torn from their homes and their friends and loved ones for so long. It's made me appreciate life a whole lot more and not only that its made me a better stronger person both physicaly and spiritualy. Praise God. Jesus said"In the world you will have tribulation: Be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." John,16:33" and thats exactly what Ive had the two years Ive been gone is "tribulation" and hardship, but its all made me a better person by far and it taught me a lot of "patience" and I learned what "endurance" and "perseverence" is all about. This is the meaning of the scipture: "And not only so, but we glory in tribulation also, knowing that tribulation worketh patience; and patience, experience; and experience, hope; Romans, 5:3" And again the scripture says: "My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing this, that the testing of your faith worketh patience". James, 1:3 Praise God. Im finaly comming home and I praise God for that, and I give him all the glory and all the praise for opening up a door so I can finnaly go back home again for a couple of weeks and be with my friends again. Thank you Jesus Messiah!!!! Our God is an "awesome" God! He realy is. Its amazing how God can shove people your way in a time of need. God takes care of his people, he realy does. Sometimes it doesnt seem that way, especialy when everthing is going wrong and looking bleak, but God does and will take care of his people. Im real excited about comming home and Im real happy that Im going to get to see most of you again for the first time in two years. I missed you all like you would not beleive. Ive got a lot of loose ends I have to tie up between now and June so I need to get to work so when June rolls around I will be ready to leave. I will most likely be staying at the old "Barter Fair" property in Ruch when I come home. That is where I lived off and on since 1968. Update May 10th 2005!!! Unfortunately, there has been a change of plans and we will not be coming home as planned in July unless something comes up that permits us to do so. As some of you know, we have had some very bad things take place here recently by people we thought were our friends but turned out to be our enemies instead. They hung out with us, they worked with us, they helped us, and they fellowshiped with us, and in a moments notice, for reasons best known to themselves, they turned on us. They decided they would rather walk in "darkness" than walk in the "light". This is the meaning of the scripture: "They went out from among us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have cintinued with us; but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not of us." 1st John, 2:19[Apostle John] Some of you know who these people are that did this and some of you don't. One of the people who had been helping our church and taking an active role in what we were doing by coming out on a regular basis and lending a helping hand had offered to take us back home to Oregon sometime in July and then bring us back home, decided instead to leave us and to take one of the homeless brothers that was staying here in our homeless shelter and have him move in with them so they could live together and live in sin by "fornicating" with each other, and in the process, they both "lied" to us about what they were doing and what they wanted. This person who we had counselled and taught the scriptures to and had taken under our wings "slandered" us and "smeared" us and "falsely" accused us and then for no reason at all except that they wanted to be with this person "stabbed" us in the back and broke all the aggreements and promises they had made with us just so they could move this person in with them and have a relationship with each other. When push came to shove, nothing else mattered to them except walking after the lusts and the desires of the flesh and fulfilling the lusts thereof. We gave this homeless brother a place to stay and we gave him everything he needed and asked for and all we asked him for in return was not to go anywhere alone with our sisters which he agreed to and then when the opportunity arose he immediately broke his word and took off with one of them and three days later according to him they had engaged in "fornication" and are now are living together. We taught this person "Gods Holy Law" which this person received at first but then decided to throw it all on the dung heap of contempt by going back to their former ways. We gave this person that "pearl" of great price, which is "Gods Holy Law", which they accepted at first but shortly afterwards trampled into the mud and then this person turned on us and "attacked" us by "falsely" accusing us and "slandering" us and "smearing" us and speaking "lies" about us that were not true. This is the meaning of the scripture: "Give not that which is holy unto the dogs". Matthew 7:6 New Testament Scripture. And again the scripture says: "Neither cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and lacerate you." Jesus Christ, Matthew 7:6, New Testament. And again the scripture says:"But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is returned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed, to her wallowing in the mire." 2nd Peter, 2:22 Its not easy doing the Lords work, it realy isnt, but Jesus said: "And ye shall be hated of all men for my names sake, but he that endureth to the end shall be saved". Matthew, 10:22, New Testament scripture. And again Jesus said:" Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. rejoice, and be exceedingly glad; for so persecuted they the prophets who were before you." Matthew 5:11, Jesus Christ. New Testament Scripture. Pray for these people. Jesus died for them too. Pray they get so sick and tired of living in a "sewer" and that they decide to somehow try and find their way back to their former state and start all over by confessing their sins and repenting and bringing forth fruit worthy of repentance. We were all "dead in our tresspasses and sins" at one time or another. Praise God. We would still love to go home, but if the Lord wills that we tarry here longer, then "not our will be done, but his will be done". God Bless and take care. Latest Update December 5th 2005 It was December 5th that the Community packed up and left Eastern Oregon and headed out to our new home in Southern Missouri at the invitation of Brother Steve Duncan. We have now been here one year. There was five of us on that caravan, myself as well as Brother Meadowman, Brother Ike Taylor, Brother Dale Fry of the Burns Oregon 7th Day Adventist Church, and Brother Ziggy[aka Kevin Manous]who is no longer with us. Brother Ziggy passed away September 25th 2005 and he is greatly missed. He was very much a part of our Ministry and he was very loyal to our Community and what we were doing. He loved the Lord with all his heart and when the going got rough and we were in desperate need of help he was always there. He was a real hard worker and he loved helping other people. Ziggy was real well liked by the other people in our Ministry and he was very fundamental in helping us make the move from Eastern Oregon to our new home here in Southern Missouri. Brother Ziggy is with the Lord now and I beleive that when Jesus comes back we will be reunited with our Brother Ziggy. Praise God. We should never take life for granted. Life is short, were here today and gone tommorow. This is the meaning of the scripture: "Come now, ye that say, Today or tommorow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain; Whereas ye know not what shall be on the next day. For what is yout life? It is even a vapor that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. For ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live and do this, or that. But now you rejoice in your boastings; all such rejoicing is evil". James 4:13,14,15, 16. We need to live life one day at a time and we need to live each day to its fullest because tommorow is promised to no one. This is why our Lord commanded us saying: "Be therefore, not anxious about tomorrow; for tomorrow will be anxious for the things of itself." Matthew 6:34 And again he commands us saying: "Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof". Matthew 6:34. The Lord has opened up a lot of doors since we have been here. We have had the opportunity to share the Good News with a lot of the people who live around us and what a blessing and what a wittness that has been. Were in the process now of starting the Bilical Hebrew School back up and an enormous number of people have expressed a desire to enroll in the School. Were in the Bible belt here so there are Church's everywhere. Weve added a new bed to our small dormatory where we let women with kids stay and plan to add three more soon. We now have a new washing machine where people staying and passing through can wash there clothes. What a blessing that is. Weve had the chance to help people out with counselling who were having a hard time with their marriage or finding a place they could call home. We encourage everyone thats having to struggling to make ends meet to have Faith because without Faith we have nothing and its such a blessing to be able to share with them what the Word says about having Faith. Faith in God can produce many wonderful things indeed. Faith can move mountains. Faith can put relationships back together. Faith can provide people with what they need and don't have like a job, a place to live, food to eat and everything else that a person needs going through life. This is the meaning of the scripture: "Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen". Hebrews 11:1.

Latest Update !! May 14th, 2006 Its been awhile since we last updated our site and we would like to apologise for that. We have been so overwhelmed here at Applegate Community that it has been hard to find time to do anything except take care of the basics. We have started on a new house. We have the foundation started and were hoping to make progress on the new house in the days ahead. Brother James Two Eagles and Sister Kiyonah Thundersong have vollunteered to come and help with the carpentry on the new house since at the moment we do not have a skilled carpenter here at the community. The new house will be small in size[24x24] but its a start and will provide more indoor living space for people in the days ahead. It will have running water and hot water as well as a bathroom and bathing facilities and a small kitchen and a wood stove for heating in the winter and in the days ahead we can always add onto it and make it bigger. It has its own well and septic and it has its own storage building next to it. After were done with this house were going to try and build cabins down below in the bottem meadow. They will be small[14x20] and will have woodstoves for heat and solar panels hooked up to a 12 volt lighting system for lights and the cook stoves will run off of propane and if worst comes to worst people can always cook of the wood stove. There will be a 1500 gallong water tank hooked up to all three which will be filled from one of two well houses on the land which will gravity feed into the three cabins. These cabins will provide living spaces for members of Applegate Community. This is all taking a lot of work and effort and has been in the making for some time and is moving slowly. Also, someone was nice and donated 5 nice student desks for our Biblical Hebrew School which we hope will be up and running again soon. The response from the community has been overwhelming. Also, our organic garden is almost up and going now. The ground has been plowed and it is now almost fenced off and we now have enough water line to reach the garden area from the well house and we have the starters to plant so any day now the communitys garden should be up and going. One thing we need here at the community is used building supplies like weve mentioned before so anything anyone can donate will be greatly appreciated. We want to thank Kenny Saunders of Donaphin Missouri for all the contributions he has made to the communtiy. He has been so much help. We want to thank all you who are on your way out in the days ahead to help with the work that needs to be done here and we pray that your journey to Applegate Community in so Missouri be a safe one. Brother Eli the Monk called recently and he is doing fine and living in Williams Oregon and is greatly missed by the community. Brother Chriss Easterlin and Sister Valley Snow are also on their way back. We pray for all of you out there and we pray the good Lord up above keeps you safe and keeps you all on the straight and narrow and if by some chance you or anyone else gets off for some reason he is there to help you get back on.
