Morning Glory
Morning glory
Blue and white;
Glowing in
The morning light.
Drops of dew
Upon your face;
Lying there
Like bits of lace.
Petals reaching
For the sky;
Deep within
You start to die.
Just a moment
Froze in time;
Perfect blossom
And you are mine.
Look quickly!
Now you’re gone;
Morning glory
Sing your song.
A song of glory
That passed away;
To rise and grow
On another day.
The splendor of
The moment gone;
Morning glory
Sings her song.
Blink your eyes
You will not see;
Glory song
That’s haunting me.
Morning glory
Gone at last;
Reminds me of
Day gone past.
I’ll come again
When day is new;
Petals white
And royal blue.
Look tomorrow
And you will see;
Morning glory
She’s calling me..
