The Petals of a Rose
Life is like the petals
Growing on a summer rose;
It sings a song of nature that...
No human could compose.
At first it keeps its secret
Then the petals open wide;
To reveal the inner beauty
That...
Its petals only hide.
Deep inside the lovely rose
There dwells inside its core;
The promise of tomorrow
...And...
It’s life forevermore.
For the rose is ever blooming
Coming back, when petals fade;
To grow in grace and beauty
And...
To live another day.
The rose will tell its secret
It will whisper sweet and low;
“The petals are the outside”
“It’s the inside you should know.”
