Who Are the Members of the Alliance?
Members are people just like you--mothers, fathers, business owners, doctors, teachers, authors, ministers, and many others who care about health and wellness. Some freely give financial support, but choose to be anonymous. Others have generously given us donations and agreed to be listed below.
We are VERY GRATEFUL to ALL our donors and members and are proud to say that that the Monterey Bay Holistic Alliance is unique in that it has been operating for more than four years with no paid staff--just members and/or volunteers. It continues to thrive because of the heartfelt volunteer efforts of many individuals. The majority of our active members, not only are donors, but are actively giving their time to provide health services and programs.
What are the Different Types of Membership?
There are four different ways you can actively participate with the Alliance. The Alliance is made up of Members, Benefactors, Sponsors and Volunteers.
Everyone is welcome as a member. Members pay $135 or more per year in membership fees and receive certain benefits in return. Benefactors are members who pay $250 or more and Sponsors pay $500 or more. Board Members are volunteers who are also major financial contributors. Board Members have decided to invest not only financially but in giving their time to help with the decision-making, and development of the Alliance. Everyone who donates to the Alliance is a patron or donor. In addition to our patrons and donors, we have many volunteers who offer their time doing part-time work such as teaching classes, office work, maintenance, delivering donated products, and professional services (such as donated medical services, therapy,and counseling). We are proud to say that almost ALL of our donors and members are also volunteers. This is remarkable. It is rare to find so many volunteers within a new local organization.
