Blevins has an impressive performing resume and is most widely know for his portrayal of 'Mark' in the movie A CHORUS LINE yet, Blevins is also an accomplished Director/Choreographer having choreographed the Off-Broadway production of "The Mad Forest" for the Manhattan Theatre Club and several national TV commercials for "Days Inn", plus music videos for redording artists Melba Moore and Amy Grant. Blevins has lent his choreographic assistance to a long list of network television specials including "How To Be A Man" with Scott Biao for CBS and "The Country Music Awards" with Charlie Daniels and Barbara Mandrell for NBC. He has Directed and Choreographed the National Tours of "Babes In Toyland", "Aladdin", and "Tom Sawyer" for the American Family Theatre. He was comissioned to create "American Sampler: 100 Years of Musical Theatre Dance" for the New Jersey Performing Arts Center as part of their state-side Theatre Academy for public school children. He most recently returned to the Bob Fosse Foundation for the Arts project in conjunction with the Pomfret School where he was commissioned to direct and choreograph Andrew Lloyd Webber's "Joseph & The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat".

MICHAEL BLEVINS is originally from East Tennessee. He attended the University of North Carolina, majoring in Acting and Dance and continued his studies in the performing arts at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. He has appeared in several Broadway productions including, "Bring Back Birdie", Neil Simon's "Little Me", and the Tony Winning "Tap Dance Kid" in which he created the role of "Winslow". Favorite Regional Theatre credits include: Andrew in "Love Letters", with Constance Schulman, the Emcee in "Cabaret" with Beth Leavel, and Johnny Burton in "Drumwright" with two-time Tony winner John Cullum. Other work includes appearances in a slew of National and International TV commercials, plus network television shows and specials including the "Tony Awards Show", and a regular spot on the ABC series "The Nashville Palace". In addition to "A Chorus Line" other major film roles include a bit in "Zelig", and a supporting role in the screen biography "Chaplin".

Blevins has worked with such theatrical luminaries as Michael Douglas, Robert Downey Jr., Chita Rivera, Victor Garber, Donald O'Connor, & Gwen Verdon. Michael feels fortunate having worked with such Oscar and Tony Winning directors and choreographers, Woody Allen, Richard Attenborough, Joe Layton, Danny Daniels, Vivian Matalon and Bob Fosse to name a few.

Blevins specializes in tap dancing, musical theatre and young people. Tony Winning Savion Glover is a former student of Michael Blevins as is Tony Nominees Melissa Errico and Alphonso Ribeiro. Plus, most recently Blevins was commissiond to give Bob Fosse's grandson, Sean, his first dance lessons.

He is an internationally known teacher and has been on the faculty of NYU's Tisch School of the Arts exclusive studio program and is presently director of the highly noted YOUNG PERFORMER'S WORKSHOP housed by the Centenary Stage Co. a professional Equity theatre in residence at Centenary College.
