The Three Musketeers, St.Gallen, Switzerland, Last show
On the 29.06.2000 I had
to wake up at 5 o'clock because I had to take the train at 8:15 in Bonn.
I got this train and arrived at 15:40 in St.Gallen. Then I had to search
for the the street train and after an half hour I found it . The signs there
were really great. When I arrived at the station for the youth hostel
again I had to search, for the youth hostel and again the signs were great
and I didn't find it. I searched for more then 2 hours and walked all
walking ways of St.Gallen. Then i founded but now it was to late to
see Martin at the stage door because he usually arrives 2 o'clock. It was
5pm. So I waited at the reception to check in. There alsohave been 7 other
fans who wanted to see the Musical and I talked with one of them from Vienna.
Her name was Claudia and so we decided to share a room. We then went
to the theater but first Claudia had to go and take out money and so we had
no time to eat because we arrived at the theatre at 7pm. My ticket has beend
for the last row but the show wasn't sold out, so I moved to the 5th row.
The show it self was great. Martin was the best Aramis I ever saw and the
whole musical was really close to the book. I was really surprised.
IN one scene Lord Buckingham came nude out of the bath and the whole audience
had fun. After the show we waited at the stagedoor. First Drew Pulver whom
i know from Les Misérables, Duisburg came out and I greeted him from
a friend and he smlied. Then Aris came out and Claudia, who is a big Aris
Fan was happy. But Martin didn't come and we continued waiting till 12 pm,
then a man came out, saw us, in the mean time now 3 people who waited there,
a Maya Hakvoort fan from Japan. He asked us if we want to come in and
we said yes of course and so we went in. But we were afraid to go into the
café and so we waited till someone else passed by and asked wheater
we can go in and she said yes and so we entered it. I painted some oil pictures
for Martin and wanted to ask him about the homepage but there were so many
actors that i thought it is embarrassing to go there as a fan. But my friend
Claudia smiled and said I go and ask. And she went and asked. Martin stood
up and looked around. "Where she is ?" he asked "Oh, there !" then he came
to my place and said "Thank you for the oil pics !"
"You were allowed to come to the tables !" he said. "It isn'tembarrassing!" I smiled . .then i greeted him from Andrea and he smiled and said "Ah, you are the one who travels 8 hours to come here !" I asked him about the homepage and he liked it and I also talked about Les Misérables Bonn but he said that it wasn't too long ago that he was there .We talked I think 15 minutes then he had to return to the table he was first. And we went of after the japanies Maya fan talked to her. We arrived at the youth hostel at 2 am and Claudia had to leave at 5 am. I went off at 8 am and arrived at home at 15 pm.

Martin at Chess in Leonberg
4.3.01
We were in Leonberg nearStuttgart to see Chess there. I didn't plan to see Martin because I didn't know that he played there but he did. He played Walter at that day and it was really great. Bruno Grassini who played Alfred at Tanz der Vampire in Vienna was Sergy and Mathias Paganini from Miss Saigon played Freddy. Both were really great. The show was really incredable. It was a new kind of music for me because it was the ABBA music and I never heard Chess before but I must say it has been great. During the break we meet Raymond Sepe from Tanz der Vampire. He there plays the Krolock in second cast and he was there to see Martin and Mathias. After the show me and my friend, we went to the restaurant and there again we met Raymond, Martin and Mathias.Ithas been a fantastic evening.

I took the train in Bonn at 8:13. A lot of FC Cologne Fans were in the same train. They wanted to go to Munich. They played against Munich. The train was ful. It was funny. I arrived in Stuttgart at 11:08 and then went to the SI. While I was in the train to the SI. I meet Thomas Christ, who sings the nightmare solo in TDV. He was really nice and friendly. Then I waited at the stagedoor for some of the actors and I waited also for Martin. who came at 1 o'clock. I also meet the others members of Martins FC. They were all really nice .Martin got flowers from all members of the FC. For his premiere. He was really happy about it. then we all went into the show. Martin was great as Krolock. He did it realyl different to Kevin. He sang it more like a rock singer. Realyl great and he was nervous in some parts of the play. Especially bevor "Gott ist Tod". But he did a real good job. After the show the FC meet him again and he talked a little bit to us. After that my friend and I, we saw the second show with Kevin. Tthey had a lot of technical problems. Real funny! Then we went home.
06.05.01 I went home again .

I started at 7:48 in Bonn and arrived at 12 am in Stuttgart. I had to wake up at half past five and I must say it was hard because I didn't got early the night bevor to bed. When i arrived there were none of the actors but they came all at once and Martin also arrived then. He talked a little bit with us and then we went to the meeting place for the FC Meeting. There were 30 people and after we said hallo to Andrea we went in to the show. And I must say it was great. We sat at the right side in the front row and we had a lot of fun, with Martin especially as he forgot the lyrics while he was thinking, where the hell did I see them (it's true Martin). After the show we went to the stagedoor and Martin made a personal short backstage tour. It was great and then we went to a restaurant and waited for more then 2 hours for our diner but we had a lot of fun there with many many reports and jokes...It was a great day.
05.08.01
Me and my friend we also saw the two shows of Sunday and I must say it was great. Marcel was better then ever and we talked with him a little bit and Martin in the evening one was also really great ...That 's it ...
18.08.01
I left home at 6pm for a friends birthday party. It was great. We have been rhere til 5 in the morning.
19.08.01
First we went again home to my friend and took the tickets for Dinslaken because she forgot them and then we went to Dinslaken and I was shocked. More then 3 hours before the beginning more then 100 people were waiting there We stood there 3 1/2 hour til they let us in and it was like a Backstreet Boys Concert.Real Hard. But we got in the first row.The show itself has been great. As his first song Martin was singing a song from Jesus Christ Superstar and sat down on our side .It was great .Others guest have been Andy Bieber, Caroline Furtenbacher, Maya Hakovoort, Jessica Kessel and Ethan Freeman. And they have beengreat. Ethan saw us while he was singing "Die unstillbare Gier" it was great .After the show we talked for a while with Martin and had a lot of fun.
20.08.01
At 8am I went home again.
07.09.01
I left home at 1 pm in the afternoon. After a break of an half hour we arrived at Merzig at 4 pm. My hotel was outside Merzig next to the wolf park. With real wolfes, which I heard in the night. The hotel itself was nice. At 16 pm we went to the theatre or better the circus tent in which the show took place. We were: Marget from Bonn ,Karin ,Silvia and Birigit from Würzburg. We also met Alex from Merzig, who worked for the requist. It was great. We meet Martin with his "Mottenfiffi" how he called his wig. It was funny. He talked with us for over a hour. The show itself was great. It was a little bit chaotic and I was missing the red line of the story but that is my only critic. Martin was great as Leonardo. And all others too. Especially Silivia Moss as Simunetta and Nicole Rößler as Mona Lisa and Seven Sorring as Jaques. It was great and funny.
After the show we set a little bit in the food tent and went home at 12 pm.
08.09.01
We walked a bit around the town and went to the porcelaine walls from the Expo. A project from the WWF. It was great. Only the weather was bad. It was rain the whole day. At the afternoon we went again to the tent to see "The secret of Mona Lisa" again and it was great. We meet two other FC members Sandra and Petra and the show was better then the one from yesterday and Martin was as nice as yesterday.
09.09.01
Today I went home.

I left home at 8 am and met a friend and went with her to Stuttgart. She got from someone the info that Roman Polanski will come to Stuttgart and watch Martin. I decided spontanous to go with her and see him.We arrived at 12:30 am in Stuttgart after having a traffic jam between Heilbronn and Stuttgart. The matinee show has been great. I didn't see Martin before but he was never better. He only made one little mistake during "Einladung zum Ball" he sang one line twice but ok. In the break we looked out for Polanski but we didn't find him. My friend was a littble bit sad about it because she is a Polanski Fan.The Professor was played by Jens Janke and I must say he was great. James Frost did Chagal and Espen Nowak Herbert. Barbara Köhler was for the first time a really good Sarah. My friend, with whom I stayed after the Show and I, we went to see the evening show too. Because we thought that maybe Polanski would be in this time and surprise, surprise, he was. I took some photos of him and Kevin on stage .Kevin has been really good.
30.09.01
We went to theater at 12:30 am and watched again the afternoon show and I must say that time Martin was really really great ...Polanksi was in the show again, having seats in row 10 and during the break I got an autograph by giving him a selfpainted picture and I must say, we were the only ones, who got one .Martin did his job really well.Hope that Polanski would like to have him as alternate Krolock. but we will see
I went home at the 03.10.10 after seeing two other shows without Martin .
02.11.01
I went to Stuttgart at 1 pm and arrived there at 5 pm. I went to see a friend there. We wanted to see Chess in Leonberg, near Stuttgart. Again, Martin played there. And I thought, that he would play Walter or Freddy again because it was the same production as in March. But, what a surprise, he played Anatoli and has been fantastic. The rest of the cast was the same as last time.
03.11.01
This day we went to TDV again. It was great! Again Martin acted the Count in the matinee show. And René Roseburg Alfred. A fantastic combination! We met Martin before the show. He was a little bit late because Andrea the FC Leader was also there, what I foound out, when I met her in the show. After this show we went to cinema because the evening show was played by Kevin.
04.11.01
I went home today

On the second Christmas day Les Misérables again was staged in Bonn. It was the second last show. But at that day something was different. The original Enjolras from Bonn, Jens Janke, didn't play. Instead Martin Berger took over the part from Jens. After waiting for him at the stagedoor, we talked a little and he asked, where he has to go to get to the backstage area of the Opera. But we we didn't know, because we never been inside the backstage area. He then asked a musican from the orchestra, who led him in. It was real amusing. The show itself has been great. Martin was real euphoric and great. He really seemed to be the studentleader Enjolras. The show itself was surprisingly good. Just some mirophone problems appeared. But the rest has been great! .After the show we again talked to Martin .A great day ,I would say.
At the 27. December the Musical Gala "Musical Stars - live" took place in Kirchheim Teck .Martin Berger, Adrian Becker, Sanni Lius sowie Carla & Michael Nicholson took part in it.The evening was opened by a "Medley" of the Musical "Grease", it was continued by songs of the Musicals "My Fair Lady", "West Side Story", and "Joseph".Martin Berger sang "Die Unstillbare Gier" from Tanz der Vampire und "Kitsch" from Elisabeth. He also sang as George Michael together with Michael Nicholson (as Elton John) "Don't let the sungo down" and (as Rudolf) again with Michael Nicholson (Tod) "DieSchatten werden länger" from Elisabeth. He moderated the evening and took part in the "Ensemblesong " from Grease and Hair. The Audience were impressed by the show and favourered it with standing Ovations.

It seam to happen ,that this day was the last day of the Bonner version of Les Misérables. Me and two friends went to the Opera at 2:30pm . As we arrived there weren't much there so we waited for a another friend but as she didn't arrive after an half hour we walked to the Coffee Hous in Bonn and drank a Cacao(or Coffe) . Then we went back to the Opera at 4 pm .An half hour later arrived Martin there . There were also some other fans who gave some of the actors followers and a new year present .It was nice. The show it self was great .Martin was euphoric like the last time but this time he climbed up the chair which was one stage . Hardy Rudolz ,the Valjean ,damaged the jacket of Axell Becker who played a farmer in the prolog scene. In the secound act Martin threw the flag on to Marius( Axell Mendrok) while he was "dying" .Hardy asked him wheather everything was alright and it seamed as evertything was alright . At the end of the Show I had to threw some flowers for Hardy one stage for a friend .But they fly into the Orchestra Place . One member of the orchestra threw them up to the stage and Ralf Meyring ,the Grantair, picked it up and looked a little bit counfused. After a little disscusion via gestics he gave it to Hardy .It was a funny evening .After the show we had a little party at the stagedoor and Martin drank a little bit with us .Steffen Friedrich also did this .While we were there, a photographer of the Express of Bonn and a Reporter saw us and came to us .The Reporter asked us what we did there and we explained it to her and she was so impressed that we came for one play from whole Germany and she made some photos and interviewed us .It was great .After that we went to a party .A great day.

I meat Martin at that day at the Morning at the McDonalds in Bonn .He went home to Stuttgart .I brought two of my friends to the station.
A great new year .
16.03.2002
The day started at 7:48am, while I was going by train to Stuttgart. the Train has been full of pupils, which went to a so called class tour. But surprisingly the train was on time. It arrived on time in Stuttgart. At 11:30 am I was at the SI. The weather was warm and sunny and so it didn't matter that much to wait at the Stagedoor. Martin arrived there at 1 pm in company of his father, whom we didn't know at this time. We talked a for a while to Martin, 'til he had to leave for make up. The show itself was great. We had Jens Janke as Professor and Norbert Kohler as Alfred. Both were really fantastic. So was Martin! But he hasn't seen us in the first row during "Gott ist tot" and the finale of the first part(not at all Martin, hm ? He never see anybody). After the show we went to the FC meeting of Norbert Kohler, because he invited us. I painted a portrait of him and he liked it that much, that he invited us. But the FC leader wasn't that happy about it and so we left again. We then went to the second show, which wasn't as good as the first one. I think it was because the audience wasn't that enthusiastic. There were more older, settled people there, then in the matinee and so the fan atmosphere was missing. Martin was good. But not as good as in the matinee. Understandable as he had to do a double show. We promised Martin to bring him something to eat to stay alive between the two shows. But while I was throwing the chocolate towards the stage it ended in the dress of Marjan Plötzhold (Sarah). She was really happy about, but it was the wrong person. In the evening show, I tried again and this time Martin got the chocolate. We left the SI at 1am.
17.03.2002
At 12:30 pm we arrived again at the SI. Martin was inside the theatre and so we didn't meet him. But we met his father in stead and I must say, Martin fans must be really easy to recognize. We had a nice talk with Mr. Berger senior(**grins**). The show it self was great. At this day we had Thomas Klotz as Alfred, who has been really nervous. it maybe has been his second or third show. But I think he was really fantastic. Martin was fab as in yesterdays matinee. And Jens was even more funny then the day before. We had some Gummibears for him and did throw them on the stage. He was real surprised because he couldn't imagine how a person can throw Gummibears and also take pictures. But it worked (being actually two persons). After the show we talked to some other Martin Fans, Martin and his father. Till I had to leave at 6 pm. Now it is 12:30pm and I think I have to go to bed now.
02.08.2002
7 am Friday I left home because I had to go to university to write a homework. At lunchtime I left there to go to my friend in Haltern, where I would sleep that night. She stayed the last week in a so called "Working Camp" with scottish kids. She talked to the leader of the camp, if I could sleep there for one night and he allowed it. The Scottish kids were really nice. We left the camp at 6 pm. The show "Jesus Christ Superstar" was really great. Mostly it was the cast of the last year only some roles changed:
Jesus: Sascha Krebs
Judas : Kristian Vetter
Maria Magalena: Leah delos Santos
Petrus: Martin Berger
Pilatus: Claus Dam.
Martin was a fantastic Petrus. Pity, that his role wasn't bigger. He only had two songs in the second act. But those two he did very well. Sascha was a great Jesus. Like last year. Claus did his best as Pilatus but wasn't as good as Ethan has been last year and Leah and Kristian were both real good. Leah especially better then Caroline Furtenbacher. After the show we met Martin. My friend sneaked into the Premiere party and asked if he could come out and he came out. We told him that our scottish Camp leader will kill us, if we won't be back before 12 pm and Martin answered to it "Ok, send him to me. I'll drink a whisky with him, but only a glas, not a bottle" We told this to the Camp leader and he said he would remember that.
Thurstday at 9 am I went to my friend Sonja. We inteded to go swimming in the lake of Haltern. As I arrived in Haltern we went first home and then to the lake. It was fantastic there and it was really warm. At 5 pm in the evening we left there and went to Tecklenburg. There we arrived at 7 pm. We meet there also some members of the FC for example: Eva and Emil, Sandra, Ramona and Petra (not Member of the FC) and a girl who I didn't know but which belonged to the group of the FC members. The show it self was great. Claus was better then the last time but not as good as Ethan has been. Martin was great like the last time. The same with Leah and Kristian, who have been better then the last time. After the show I had to lead the members of the FC to the stagedoor. We met Martin and some other fans like Maren Gattermann there.
16.08.2002
Martin walking in water.
At Friday afternoon Sonja and myself went to Tecklenburg again to met again with the some FC members. Martin wanted to meet the FC there. If we were invited or not wasn't really clear but as the Webmaster I thought, why shouldn't I go there. The others first weren't that happy about it but as Martin arrived everything were alright and there also have been two chairs in the round before we arrived. So it seemed to me that they expected us, but hoped that we won't come. Before arriving there, we were involved in a nearly accident. A car on he motorway stopped without warning. But we have been very lucky. Martin arrived at the marketplace of Tecklenburg at 3pm and after sitting one hour with us he had the idea to make a Kneiptour (means walking in cold water) and we did. It was good idea because it was really hot. After that Martin left us and the group scattered.Sonja and myself went to the stagedoor and waited for Kristian and Claus which greeted us with:"Again and Again". The show itself was great again. It was only a little bit too loud but that was all. After the show we said goodbye to Martin because he will go on a cruise for one month and will sing there on the ship.
25.10.02
I left home at 13 o'clock. As I arrived at the main station of Bonn, there was a big surprise. The was an accident with a suicide. At the information there wase no-one and nobody could tell us how to get to Bonn-Beul where they re-direcetd the train I wanted to take. After 15 minutes searching I found a service man who could answer my questions and after going to the taxi station where I took a taxi to Bonn-Beul on the cost of the DB. The train arrived 30 minutes later and therefor I arrived 45 minutes too late in Stuttgart but that was ok.
26.10.02
At the morning my friend Corinna and I, we changed the summer into winter tires. After that we went to the SI to see if we would get some tickets for the Preview of POTO. But the tickets were sold for over 63 and that was too expensive. So we went to watch the Bibi Blocksberg movie - a nice kids movie. It was amazing. After driving a little bit around not finding the right hotel where the FC meeting would take part we arrived at 6.30pm. The FC meeting itself was great. There were a lot of little show like: "Who will be Millionaire" a Quiz Show and sketch about the fans and of course a FC choir. Martin also had to sing a song because he lost at the quiz show after the 5000 question (A question about the old german DM bills). It was great. The fc meeting went on until 10 pm but most stayed until 1 am, then we went home.
27.10.02
We went at that day again to SI to see TDV . We saw:
Krolock: Mathias Edenborn
Alfred: Thomas Klotz
Sarah: Barbara Köhler
Professor: Christian Paumgarten.
Magda: Natasha Hill
Chagal: Steven Loss
Rebeca : Jan Merchant
Herbert: Robert D. Marx
It was a great show. After that I went home and I had a litte adventure with the train. The train was on time in Stuttgart but we left with a 20 minutes delay to Heidelberg, 30 minutes in Worm, (45 Minutes too late) and 30 minutes in Mainz and over 2 hours in Koblenz. There was a big storm and my train was in the middle of it. They said, they had to wait conductor but this wasn't true - there were trees on the rails between Bonn and Koblenz and the same on the other side of the Rhine. I arrived at home at 2 am. It took me 7 hours to get home (normally only 3 hours).
03.11.2002
Yesterdaywe went to Uebach-Palenberg. Punctual at 8,05 pm Martin and Nicole Malangre were on stage. And started with full speed for the next 45 minutes. All the pieces they did were marcellous and his powerful voice really got us, but when he started "Die Unstillbare Gier" (a song we really didn't expected) he really hooked us - like in Stuttgart - all emotions and goose bumps. For us he is and always will be THE count Krolock. After he left the stage, my husband and son went searching for his dressing room, which they easily located. And Martin took a lot of time talking to the boy. For example h told him, that he will go back on the ship - what my son completly misinterpreted because he beamed at him saying "Great ! Titanic!" (a musical we want to somewhen next year). But Martin quickly put it right and said, that he hoped that this ship journey will be longer then the Titanics but that he will be able to see him again at the Dortmund Konzerthaus. Then they talked about the pale vampire make up an finally he got an autograph on the TDV programme. Pity, that I haven't been there! Both my men said, that he has been very sympathetic and kind and that we simply had to go to Dortmun to hear his brilliant voice again. This is the report of our first (but hopefully not last) meeting with Martin.

This year at Pfingst sunday a Musical Gala, called "Musical Meets Pop" has been again in Tecklenburg at the open air theatre. This years guests have been:
Sascha Krebs,
Martin Berger,
Katja Berg,
Caroline Furtenbacher,
And also 4 actors from Mama Mia in Hamburg. But I don't even remember their names.
Songs were presented from:
Les Misérables
Mama Mia
Hair
Nonsens
Mann aus La Mancha
Aida
Rent
Chess
Jekyll & Hyde
Beside musicals their were also Popsongs like Sexbomb, High Way to Hell, I will survive and so one. Sascha Krebs and the leader of the open air stage in Tecklenburg lead through the evening. It was more a commercial for the open air stage then a show. But that was ok, because the ministry for culture cut 50 % of the money which the open air stage got from the government. So they needed to make a commercial. Martin sang together with Sascha Krebs Highway to Hell and from Aida "Like father, like Son" and "Bring him home" from Les Misérables. He also sang an austrian version of "Like father, like son" .It has been a really great evening
We Go together, Hopelessly gesungen von Carla Nich. echt schön,
dann Greased Lightnin, Sandy von Michael Nich. und You´re the one that I want mit Sanni und Martin :
von My fair Lady Wart´s nur ab Henry Higgins - Carla N.
von Joseph sangen sie Go go go Joseph
Ach ja und Martin hat Jekyll mit This is the moment gemacht.
Da haben sie gemacht What I Did for Love und nochmal Abba Dancing Queen, Thank you for the music.
Es war ein toller Abend, der sich echt gelohnt hat. Hat von 20.00 Uhr bis 23.15 gedauert mit einer Pause von 20 Minuten.
