Martin was born in Vienna and did grow up in Obersdorf near Vienna with three siblinges. He started his musical-career at the Conservatory the City of Vienna, and finished it succsessful 3 years later.
During his studies, he was engaged for the role of the apostel Bartholomae in "Jesus Christ Superstar" in Klagenfurt. Followed by other engagements in "Mass" and "Evita". 1993 has been his first time on a big musical stage. In his hometown Vienna he stared in the play "The Kiss of the Spiderwoman" in the role of "Molina".
Another engagement led him to St.Gallen (West Side Story) and again to Klagenfurt, where he played in "Cabarett".
He also worked with a pop and rock band and gave jazz & big-band concerts. In 1988 Martin was the winner of the "Niederösterreichischen Talentforums. In 1992 he won his first prize in a singing contest. Martin's band, the "Mugel-Caompany" was the most popular slang-band in Austria.
For the first time "Les Miserables" led Martin to Germany. Starting with the opening night he played "Enjolras" and later then the cover of "Valjean". At the end of July 1997 Martin left the production of Les Miserables and went on to play the soldier "Chris" in the musical "Miss Saigon" in Stuttgart. There he stayed (with a little break) 'til the last show of "Miss Saigon".
Parallel to this from December 1997 to June 1998 he played the part of "Berger" in the musical "Hair" at the Stadttheater in Saarbrücken.
In the short break of "Miss Saigon" he went to Schwäbisch Hall, where he could be seen in the part of "Christian" in the musical "Cyrano" at the open air festival in 1999.
2000 saw him in "Die drei Musketiere (the threee musketeers)" in St.Gallen and he has been part of the premire cast of "Snow White" in Saarbrücken as "Jaeger".
In 2001 he could be seen as Graf von Krolock in Tanz der Vampire (the european version of Dance of the vampire). Parallel to this he was part of the world premiere cast of "Das Geheimnis der Mona Lisa" in Merzig as "Leonardo". The end of 2001 saw him back in Les Miserable, this time at the opera in Bonn, again as "Enjolras" and as also as "Antolji" in a touring production of "Chess".
During 2001 he portrayed "Peter" in Jesus Christ Superstar in the Tecklenburg production and took part in the premiere of the muscial "Caspar Hauser".
In between this he could be seen on the showstage in the SI-Center, Stuttgart where he sang songs from the world of pop, rock and musical.
Martin can be heard on the following Cd recordings: The original CD of "Les Miserables" Duisburg as "Enjolras" and in the ensemble of the vienna version of "Kiss of the Spiderwoman". Alsoon the official Cd of Cyrano. And last but not least he is on the Stella-Millenium-CD with songs of "Dance of the Vampires" and "The Hunchback of Notredame".
He likes living in Germany because there is a broader field for his profession (Vienna has only 3 big musical stages). He would like to continue working in Germany.
With his voice-volume, his acting talent and his humor, which he brings to the stage, it will be really interesting in what part Martin will bewitch us the next time.
