I can't
believe I'm already 1 year old now and things are winding down now in the
final stretch of our stay in China. I'm walking really good now, even when
I have to wear shoes. In fact, I'm so good at walking I rarely crawl
now. I can stand up all by myself, so if I topple (not that I topple
much anymore) I just stand up and keep going. I'm also talking quite
a bit, but it's very frustrating that no one seems to understand me.
I think they should just listen better, I have a lot of important things
to say. I'm good at imitating sounds and actions, and I recognize several
nouns and verbs mostly in English, but some in Chinese and German too.
I've grown
a lot. My 12 month clothes now fit me perfectly, but I wear 18 month
size in one piece shirts and pajamas that run small. I think I'm almost
30 inches tall, and weigh nearly 21 pounds.
I'm up
to 6 teeth. The top front and bottom front are in completely, and I
just cut two more teeth on top. You can't see the new teeth that well
yet. Mommy says my two front teeth on top are very prominent, I think
that means they're really big.
I like
eating regular food now, especially stuff with a little spice to it. I
like taco meat, meatballs, and even Daddy's chili - when he doesn't make
it too hot. I'm a very good eater, I'll eat nearly anything. I
can really bite and chew now. I drink out of my cup all by myself too.
